2022 College Football Playoff Discussion Thread

I'd be ok with it being 1. UGA 2. Michigan (if they win) 3. TCU 4. Ohio State

But I ain't sure that's gonna happen.

Never heard of “got ran by” before. That’s a new one.

And wtf is this “we” bullshit? Aren’t you an Ole Miss fan?

Well now you have heard it rookie

I would prefer that. Hate to see a rematch early in the playoffs. I saw what Michigan did to OSU on a football field. I would like to see what Georgia would do to them

Ohio State is essentially 0-1 this season

Who did they beat???

By virtue of WHAT are you handing them a playoff spot?

This is mental illness.
Confused Donald Trump GIF

Does it matter? Georgia is going to beat any of the above or mentioned. Not much to it in the end

Between that comment and Michigan playing with a back up QB (McCarthy started every game this season. He was winning the job from McNamara either way) I stopped paying attention.

Clemson had a weak schedule and 2 losses and a BAD loss.
Utah and Kansas St both had 3 losses.
UW - 2 losses.
If you want conference champions just in the CFP then that is what the expansion is for.

None of those teams you listed is a top 4 team or has earned it throughout the season. Why not let South Carolina in the CFP since they beat TN and Clemson then? LOL

Ohio St is most likely losing but they have 1 loss and it’s to the #2 team.
Bama is a different story-they have two losses. Better losses than any of those teams you listed.

TCU is likely to stay in and if they aren’t I would be shocked.
But, but, but ShaaAAaaNE!!! @Knight&Day HATES tOSU, doesn't the committee know that??!

I think the national media and other fans are more concerned about whether Bama gets in than Bama fans. We don’t care and haven’t earned it. I hope they put Tennessee ahead of us so we don’t have to go to the boring ass Sugar Bowl again.

This is why they’ll get that Ohio Stats/Michigan rematch in the semis for the crazy ratings it’ll bring. Yea it would be even more bonkers if it were the title game but at least 1 of us likely loses the semi final

I’m still not convinced that happens.

Georgia and Michigan are the only two teams that deserve to be in the CFP.
Just skip the semis and go right to the Final @ So-Fi - BCS Style.
Go Blue!

I am not sure that is a legit thing. Georgia/Ohio State is going to bring in the same TV sets. It might bring in more

Used to be college football dominated my Saturdays in the Fall, this year, I might have watched 5 games that didn’t involve UGA(not counting mid week MACtion/Fun Belt games)
i don't know if this is a product of me getting older, but the sport kinda sucks now. the only big games i really watched this year was Alabama/Tennessee and parts of Michigan/Ohio State

its only going to get worse once OU, UT, USC and UCLA officially join their new leagues

It will but probably not quite like Michigan-Ohio State. Game got over 17 mil at noon. Put it at primetime by itself. It would be a huge draw.

On the semis, whoever plays TCU will have the lower numbers, most likely. Any combo of Georgia/Michigan/Ohio State is going to be a big draw
