Did anyone see Ohio State made the CFP?

Call me nuts (or any other name, I don't give a shit) but I like Ohio State's chances against Georgia more than I would have Michigan's. JMO

Depends entirely on which teams show up. If Kent St/Mizzou/UK Georgia shows up, OSU absolutely has a shot.

Georgia’s going to show up. I think it has more to do with which Ohio State team shows up. If your bucknuts pin their ears back and play loose, it could be a goid game. If they play not to lose it won’t be. JMO

This is my slight hope. Ohio State has been playing not to lose since Penn State. Maybe now that they got embarrassed and are pretty much playing with house money they can just play football

That's historically when they've been their best in the playoffs. Nothing to lose.

I don’t know about that. When y’all were gifted a spot in 2016, y’all proceeded to get shutout by Clemson
Wouldn't say they were gifted a spot, but they weren't expected to get shelled in that game. In fact, ESPN had them projected to win.

That's what scares me. This team reminds me a lot more of 2016 than 2014. 2014 started bad but just became better and better as the year went on. 2016 started great and got worse as the year went on

Didn’t win y’all’s division, was controversy surrounding your inclusion and had an extra week off. It was a true nothing to lose situation, ESPN might have, but Vegas sure didn’t IIRC

PSU beat us in a very close home night game by 3 points in a game we dominated outside of a couple of flukey plays. They were also absolutely destroyed by michigan (who we beat) and lost to a 5-loss Pitt. OSU only had one close loss and also had 3 wins over top 10 teams in the final CFP rankings - #6 michigan, at #7 Oklahoma (blowout) and at #8 Wisconsin. Honestly, they belonged more in 2016 than they do this year.

Actually Vegas had us favored too for some odd reason. Not by much. Like 3.5 I think

Yea this team is in turtle mode. I'd be surprised if we won. I think we maybe manage to keep it closer than Michigan did last year, but that's not saying much.

GA wins like 35-21 but are never really in danger of losing.

Maybe so but who "belongs" more than tOSU this year? Probably not a lot of difference in your guys and teams 5-12 for that matter. Hell, there probably isn't much difference in 3-12 and maybe even 1-12.

This is why I'm for an expanded playoff. Let a few more "questionable belongers" (for lack of a better term) into the mix and play if off on the field.

What gives me nightmares is if we do actually somehow pull it off then lose to scUM again for a national championship. I'm not sure my psyche could take it
