2022 Official Transfer Portal Thread

Is Stanford even going to be able to field a team next year? They have like 16 guys in the portal. They are going to have a hard time using the portal to rebuild because of academics and they won’t make up the difference in this class.

Going to be 2-6. Go Badgers, or what's left of you.
Outside the CFP teams, there is no telling what the bowl games are going to look like. Might as well just say "piss on it" andgo have a good time. That or just use it like spring practice. I watch them because I'm a CFP addict but haven't put much stock in bowl game results for quite a while.

You should have a team full of guys so bad they can't enter the transfer portal because they won't have anywhere to go We only have three in there. We need about 50 to go.

Yep. 60 guys may see playing time any given year. Maybe 40 important players. The rest are tackling dummies.

Spencer Sanders is a shocker.
What's up with all of that.
Maybe some of these better than ok QBs thinking they might want to see if they can get with a team going to the natty?

So far zero for us, but we are expecting 5-10.

- ILBs
- OL
- WRs
- TEs
- maybe a CB or two

Not talking PWOs. Most will be backups looking for time. Many will have played some as we rotate so much. Can't recruit at a high level and not lose some each year.

We didn't take any transfers last year, but expecting to take a couple WRs, probably an OLB. Maybe a QB for depth.

Smart has made it clear ... if you won't be a day 1 starter, we aren't taking you (except maybe a QB for depth, but that won't be a really good one).

Gonna be interesting to see where he lands.
Ol boy is Hell when he’s well… he’s just sick all the time.
Word is Sanders is going to wind up in Knoxville

Love all these butthurt fags transferring because they didn't get their way. This rule is far worse than that NIL booshit

Well, I am glad you posted this. Because I was a little lost as I am behind on “why” the transfers happen. I am like, “Why you wanna leave Georgia?”’ They just won their conference and headed to CFP. Or a player I never heard of transferring from say Wisconsin to Towson. Towson, really? I was thinking it was due to some of the reasons mentioned above. Now, I feel I grasp this process… somewhat.

God help the CFB world if that happens. You see what JH did with a VT backup?
Sanders is a bona fide starter.

Just saw Alabama lost FIVE offensive lineman to the portal. I know teams like that can reload, but holy shit that's a lot of talent gone in one hit.

I know they'll be fine, but they're essentially going to have an entirely different offensive 11 next year between the portal and the draft, outside of the two top WRs (assuming Burton comes back).
