Dude should have just declared after 2020. That was the highest his stock has ever been, and would have been drafted in the mid rounds.

But yeah, go the Driskel route and transfer to some conference USA team and get a late round draft pick and hang on as a backup in the NFL for a while

Yea some La Tech or Tulsa type school is a much better route for a guy like him than a Cal or Rutgers type.

Word is that Tennessee is trying to throw a bunch of NIL money at our backup RB Dallan Hayden to transfer there.....

Is there no rules against basically "tampering" and openly throwing money at a player before he even enters the portal?

If so things are really fucked going forward.

I guess the problem is it's hard to prove the "tampering" short of a player coming to a staff with like texts or something clearly showing that another schools booster were offering money for them to hit the portal and jump ship

It's definitely 100% happening though.

it's not even free agency, it's just whoever has the most money getting whoever they want regardless of how.
 
I really think the G5 will eventually just become a farm system for the P5

Most of the higher P5 spots will be taken by the highest rated recruits or transfers, High school recruits will move to lower priority. G5 will be the one taking a lot of the HS kids, but once they "prove" themselves they will be gone to the P5.

Makes no sense for "project" type kids to go to a mid-upper P5 level school, where unless they show out right away, they will be pushed out in 1-2 years for a higher rated recruit or transfer. Might as well go to a G5 school, prove yourself there, and then land with a P5 team.
 
The "portal" is out of control and I think is being abused by players from whatever the initial intention was on this when it started. Needs to be regulated by someone. Guess that would be the NCAA?? Maybe not???

Yes there is but if they couldn’t get rid of the bagmen the NCAA won’t do shit about this.
