Charley Walters of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported that the Big 12 Conference is said to be quietly seeking the Minnesota Golden Gophers, but Minnesota can’t afford the revenue loss of a new Big Ten Network deal, which, with the expansion of USC and UCLA in two years, could be worth nearly $100 million a year.

Minnesota even considering leaving the b1g and going to the Big 12 would be enough to fire the entire administration and board of trustees. If you are going to make shit up then say they are going after a PAC team and make it believable.

I saw one the other day that said the PAC should entice Notre Dame to join its conference in an effort to save it…

I’m nobody’s expert on it but some of these people literally have no clue how any of this stuff works :pound:

some people wonder about sacrificing on field success for $$ is it better to make more $$ but only go 5-7 year after year or go 10-2 but make less $ over all.

Or, the Big 12 walks into the B1G media day and announces "We are re-aligning our conference! Who's with us???"

They turn and walk out confident when they hear footsteps behind them only to turn and see a gopher following them

You also got the Oklahoma State and Texas A&M to the B1G rumors floating out there:

It is like the rumor mills are not even trying anymore.

Next we will here .... Alabama to Pac12 and Ohio State to SEC...

The one that SHOULD be floating around is that

Alabama
Ohio State
Texas
Notre Dame
Oklahoma
Michigan
USC
Florida
Clemson
LSU
Auburn
Georgia

Are leaving their conferences to form their own.

So has Minnesota decided which way they were going to go?

All realignment stories are 100% true. No doubt about it

Can anyone remember a situation where a team was asked to join a conference with a larger payout but turned it down?

GT did it 10 years ago with an invite to B1G.
