Mike Leach

He was far and away the most interesting coach the Pac ever had. You didn't dare miss his comments on the way to the locker room on the way to the half, and no chance you skipped his post game presser. He was the only reason to tune in for Pac12 media days.

I loved that he rode his bike to work while at WSU and every other quirky thing he did.

He was unique, open, and honest in a profession that doesn't seem to have much of any of those.

We were robbed of so many more memories way too soon.

Heartbroken.

"I completely hate candy corn"

"there's still candy innovation"
"I like the Sprees in a box. You have to go to the dollar store to find them. And I do."

I think my favorite part about all of these was the way he carried on whatever conversation it was like it was completely normal

From 2002-09, TTU finished in the top 10 in scoring seven times. The lone exception was 2006 when they finished 13th.

Is this the first active D1 HC to die since the HC at Northwestern before Fitzgerald?

I dont usually much like other teams coaches even when there isnt something not to like. Cant say i gave Leach much mind before WSU. Wasn't even really until the later part that i liked him.
