After this early signing period it is absolutely clear that the Oregon Ducks and the University of Oregon are fully committed to doing what it takes to win a National Championship. They understand how to navigate through this new landscape of portal transfering and NIL and working together, wow, just wow. The Ducks are about to go into hyper driver with talent and success. What I witnessed the other day was simply incredible, we all thought Taggart could recruit, then we thought Cristobal could recruit, now enters Dan Lanning and LMFAO the man is HIM on the recruiting trail. Absolute savage. Oregon is loaded with some of the best talent across the country in many positions.

Love this take. Texas AM is in a conference with Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, etc. where programs recruit on a very similar level. Oregon is playing SEC ball and building an SEC style program in the PAC-12. Take a gander at Stanford, CAL, WSU, Oregon St, Arizona's recruiting approach. It's JV compared to Oregon.

A couple of things here. Programs might recruit on the same level. However, coaching, game time adjustments, and player development matters a lot also. Apparently whatever Oregon State is doing is working. They won 10 games including a 2022 Civil War victory.

Obviously it's better to have higher quality athletes than lower, but only OD doesn't get there is more to winning the conf, more or less the playoffs, than just that.

Utah has been dominating the conf recently and hasn't had a single recruiting class in the top 25.

Utah also isn't leaving the Pac along with USC/UCLA so the notion that the only real competition to stand in the way is leaving is also fake news.

Ducks have to prove they can live up to their quality of players before anyone else coronates them for anything. Lanning has a lot of growth as a HC to go through.
