we are dOing it

Love this take. Texas AM is in a conference with Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, etc. where programs recruit on a very similar level. Oregon is playing SEC ball and building an SEC style program in the PAC-12. Take a gander at Stanford, CAL, WSU, Oregon St, Arizona's recruiting approach. It's JV compared to Oregon.
This is funny as hell right here. Might I remind you of a 49-3 game. Even a total rebuilding and rather pathetic LSU scored 30, and gave up 50. Oregon ain't even coming close to playing SEC ball. Not even in Scenario Village.

Not even close to that either. What Oregon is doing is building a SEC style schedule.
2023'
FCS team
Hawaii
and a low level P5

2024 is even better
FCS
2 G5 teams-- one of which is Hawaii
and a low level P5

With those pitiful ooc games, Oregon should be top 10 each season. And with God's gift to college football coming back(Bo Nix), holy shit, anything is possible.

Now... don't you go peeing on his parade! :heh:

I am just so excited about the future of Oregon football. We just ELEVATE each and every year, it is incredible!
FYI elevate doesn’t mean getting high

Good luck @OregonDucks even if you lost a stud QB recruit to Chip and UCLA

I'd worry more about that Orange and Black beast that JS is building down in Corvallis....
"Up" in Corvallis... :L Nothing more annoying than someone off on their geography reference.

After this early signing period it is absolutely clear that the Oregon Ducks and the University of Oregon are fully committed to doing what it takes to win a National Championship. They understand how to navigate through this new landscape of portal transfering and NIL and working together, wow, just wow. The Ducks are about to go into hyper driver with talent and success. What I witnessed the other day was simply incredible, we all thought Taggart could recruit, then we thought Cristobal could recruit, now enters Dan Lanning and LMFAO the man is HIM on the recruiting trail. Absolute savage. Oregon is loaded with some of the best talent across the country in many positions.

Oregon is winning a national championship.

I see no lies.
They got their arses handed to them by the best in the SEC and then went out and started recruiting like they don’t want that to happen anymore… kudos:beer2:

They should be ready to rule the PAC.

After the good teams leave for the B1G.

Ducks have to prove they can live up to their quality of players before anyone else coronates them for anything. Lanning has a lot of growth as a HC to go through.
Lanning will be long gone before he lives up to anything as a HC at Oregon, just like Chip Kelly, just like Willie Taggart, just like Mario Cristobal.

Oregon is the premier stepping stone program in the country for coaches.

Their program sugar daddy is in his late 80's and tired of dumping many millions and not getting to see a natty for his efforts. If Knight feels like he's that last piece along with these recruiting classes I'd bet it would be impossible for any other program to outbid for his services. How much NIL is he already forking out for these classes now?

I really believe it's more of a question of whether Lanning can fix things on the coaching end and give him his payoff than does he bail before having the chance to reach it.

If Lanning leaves within the next 3-4 years it would mean he's desperate to leave more than going for a bigger/better job IMO. I'm not betting on that.

You should try winning the PAC first. Baby steps.
Nah, conference championships don’t mean shit. TCU and Ohio State got in the playoffs this year without winning their conferences. One of ‘em didn’t even play in their CCG. Hell, this is Ohio State’s second time for such.

They do still carry some weight. If you’re not a traditional power, then not winning your CCG hurts your chances of making the CFP.

Good point. They matter 100% to teams in G5 conferences and may well make the difference when we go to a 12 team with the top G5 getting the auto. (I guess it meant something to Utah, K-State and Clemson as well.) It also goes without saying we'll see more non P5 champs in the playoffs. But like I said, that won't be nothing new.
