Was going to make a comment in the Carr thread, but there are too many teams who will be looking for QB's and quite a few QB's looking for work. I want to take a stab and the teams, the QB's, and where they end.

Who you got going where?

Minshew will be available...I think he could start somewhere.

Good thread.

Seahawks need a qb long term. Will take Anthony Richardson or CJ Stroud with their pick or Denver's.

What about Tre Lance in SF? Before he got hurt there was already talk of trading him and they could possibly get a low first rounder. Brock Purdy has changed things in SF.

Texans will take Bryce Young but need to stop winning lol.

If I were the Cardinals I would cut ties with the midget. Selfish little bastard is the source of a lot of their issues. Ask Patrick Peterson.

Colts and Texans the most with the quality of the rest of their team.

do you think they commit to Purdy just like that? I know they have all the weapons on that team to make any QB dangerous but is Purdy the answer or do you keep both and make it a competition? I'd do the latter.

I think that too, but also that there will be so many starting QB's on the market that someone will gamble with them. Meaning Minshew will have to sign as a backup.

Not just being a homer, but Cooper Rush is the name I don't hear anyone throwing around. Seems like SOMEONE (probably Skins) will offer him a 2-3 year deal based on his record and performance this year.

Yeah I tried to avoid the draft talk, but I don't think this thread can really work without it. Purdy is the wildcard that threw everything off, possibly making two "starters" available.

For the Cardinals I'd do a hard reset. Fire the GM, Coach, and QB. His only ability as a QB was his legs and RG3 has shown you don't come back from that injury the same player.

The latter I believe. But it has to be competition. No handing job to Lance like they did this year. Purdy is cheap and Bosa and Warner are due big contracts this offseason. One thing for sure Jimmy G will be gone.

I agree with the hard reset too. Bidwell like father like son: long term deals for unproven coach, qb. GM has been around awhile.

Another interesting thing this offseason is Sean Payton. Already hired Vic Fangio, but has no team. You'd think an underachieving team (San Diego at one point) with a good young qb would be perfect.

But 2022 value isn't much consequence for 2023, their stats would be. But in FA a lot of it is "name recognition" as well, fair or not.

If Dallas doesn't win the SB, I hope we lose in the first round. Get McCarthy out of here and Payton in. Worth another year of despair to get rid of him.

oh I agree...I was just copypasta-ing

most of the names on that list I would delete

That is a motley crue of free agents, the bulk of that list I guess Derek Carr on that list now. Only one that list that may be worthy for a long term deal ( and a big may) is Lamar Jackson imo. Minshew only paid 667K?

Yes Dallas would be the perfect club for Payton. Jerry would give up the draft pick and compensation too for Payton. Only problem is Jerry would have to step back a bit.
