I actually could see the intrigue with him as a prospect, just not worth what they gave up to get him.
49ers did everything to get Solomon Thomas when they could have had Patrick Mahomes. In fairness, they had their man wiht Jimmy G in 5 late season meaningless games.

Just like a few years earlier when they chose Alex Smith #1 overall and left local boy Aaron Rodgers on the board. That not only haunted the 49ers but Rodgers too as the 49ers have been his #1 playoff thorn.

Except Payton knows how to win and is creative, isn't scared of his own shadow. McCarthy says whatever Jerry wants, that's how he got the job, and coaches like a scared little girl.

Payton gone also means Kellen Moore gone and I think that would be best for the team also. Sadly it means Dan Quinn gone too, but I'm okay with that too.

Payton does seem to be more creative I'll say that. I saw this with MM in GB for a long time. Dude has won 12 games in back to back years in Dallas. I know he sounds like a buffoon sometimes but dude is a good NFL head coach. I'm just saying it's not like Payton has accomplished anything more than the guy there now.

Payton might have gotten a second super bowl if not for the bullshit pass interference was it non call versus rams at end of nfc title game a few years ago. Need too look it up.

Yeah maybe. And McCarthy might have another if that TE doesn't eff up the onside kick recovery in Seattle in 2014.

He’d probably find a way to fuck up the clock management and still lose.
