I'm jealous -- I'd love Michigan to buy some recruiting classes. We have the coaching staff and culture in place to handle that, we just don't have the administration that'd allow it.

It is a damn shame too, as UM is LOADED just like A&M -- we both have a $17 billion dollar university dowry. UM's administration still thinks they can sell kids on academics, in the age of NIL.

Good times at FN. in fact, I still get a Christmas Card every year from The Colonel’s widow…aka 0-6. In fact she addresses it to both my name and Deep Creek! And signs it with her name and 0-6’s wife.

That old fart got put in time out all the time because of his pics of chicks!

Wonder what JRM, FJJ and LUS would think about A&M’ status. @CorpRebel @Jon Deaux

Jimbo needs to let Petrino coach Petrino’s offense, not Jimbo’s. If he does, I think it is a good hire as well.

Jimbo and Petrino's offenses aren't that different. Jimbo is more TE and putting together drive-oriented and Petrino is more WR and take the deep shot oriented but they can work together. The one thing both will need to embrace though is tempo because that is becoming more and more important in the college game. Bama and Georgia have the athletes to grind you down without that edge but everyone else is going to need to be smart in regards to scheme.

We'll see if those egos can coexist. Maybe both comeuppance has been tampered down a bit. I have my doubts.

If aTm is doing well it will be fine the rest will be when they start to struggle and finger pointing starts. That will be when we find out if the egos can be managed.
 
While Petrino offense is better than Jimbo's.. it's not by much imo. He did score more than aggy did vs Arkansas last year, but everyone who points to his track record goes more than a decade ago.

I can't wait to see how this plays out.. you know Jimbo is just ready to cut Petrino at the knees as soon as he goes 3 and out. These two guys have such massive egos.. it's gonna be a fun watch..

EDIT:

I'm gonna miss seeing Jimbo with a stack of play calling sheets in this hands on the sidelines :(

I like the move TBH, A&M needed a bold move on offense and this does it. As long as BP can still relate to the players (he’s not ancient but gettin older) then this imo is a good move.


Now, what happens if/when the offense looks better and A&M starts winning( or losing I guess too) games?
Does Jimbo get the credit or does Bobby? And is Jimbo gonna be able to handle it if it’s Bobby?
