It's being reported that Jaden Rashada ...

I get a feeling we will see at least a few examples of this going forward from year to year

Other schools....errrr the schools 3rd party "collectives" meddling with a guy who signed a LOI and "persuading" him with money to try to break said LOI.
lol cause those aren't actual collectives.. collectives raise the floor for every player on the team... these reported deals hide behind NIL and collective in name only..

Sounds like a few money guys at FL all of the sudden had a change of heart committing that much money on an unproven QB with a shaky HC.... plus the price of eggs going up

Of course they aren't lol that's why I put "collectives" in quotes.

The NCAA won't do shit though. It's too hard to actually prove but IMO it's pretty obvious that the actual schools are involved in some of this meddling.

I think this is a situation where the NCAA should deny the request though. It's his own dumbass fault for falling for it.
ohhh that would be rich if they did refuse.. Rashada and his people should go scorched earth.. but NCAA are pussys and they would grant him that since he never even enrolled..

I'd be very fucking shocked if they did not grant it. The NCAA seems like they are basically just staying out of all NIL dealings. Only time they would legit do something is if some school got really stupid and left a bunch of clear and concrete evidence that they were directly involved with NIL dealings when they shouldnt be

NCAA already sees the writing on the wall.. they are hoping if they let CFB rule itself that they will leave the bball tournament for them to continue to profit on.. they are worried and now are wanting to expand the field from 64 to 80?? lol

Holy shit Florida's QB situation next year :pound: :pound: :pound:

Jack Miller - Has not shown much in limited time between Ohio State & Florida, was the #13 QB in the 2020 class
Max Brown - 3* #1558 overall #96 QB in the 2022 class
Kyle Engel - Walk On
Jack Anders - Walk On

There will be more guys in the portal after spring and depth charts get solidified.

Waiting til after the Spring to get your QB1 for the season is certainly interesting

I never said QB1. But certainly can get more depth.

Miami matched it and upped the ante.

CFB recruiting has become a complete shit show.
It is laughable. As I posted yesterday -- Michigan has a fund that is at like 90,000 where everything goes to the players who stay to play one more year.

Ridiculous.

Just give it a couple of years, these schools that have "collectives" ponying up a bunch of money to unproven HS kids up front are eventually going to get tired of doing so and the kids either not producing right away or transferring out after a season or two.

Now that is interesting. If they are staying out of NIL then they will ignore any deals and burn 1 year of eligibility. He signed.

So I hope they do get involved. Otherwise, the young man loses 1 year and Florida will take a big PR hit.

No one will care that the university wasn’t involved in the NIL. I understand that it’s illegal for public universities in that state to help with NILs.

He sounds like a head case which will likely mean he will be a total bust.

It is scummy to promise a bunch of money and then say "never mind" once the kid signs his LOI. Even if the school isn't directly involved, a "3rd party" associated with the school in some way still makes the school like bad doing this. You are exactly right about no one caring about that. It all comes back to the school.
