Wendsday with ill

I mean if if car manufacturers brought back new versions of them, but paid proper homage to the retro. Like Ford bronco, not like Chevy Blazer.

but one thing to bring back popular SUV's, car market is fading, so while I think they'd sell to some extent, probably not at volume to be worthwhile
manufacturers have started actually selling off the original tooling to companies to start reproducing OEM bodies. You can buy a "new" old bronco or mustang body so you can kit car it.

Anything from the 70's is getting HOT right now. Not a lot left and those that are need a ton of work.
Cars I've owned that I really wish I still had
1966 Impala SS 327
1967 Mustang 390
1968 Mustang 289
1974 Ford Ranchero 351 cleveland

A vendor committed to taking me out to lunch today... and cancelled at 10am.

I had a supplier call me years ago and say "I'm in town, how about we go play Bent Creek and then have a steak after that?"
I'm like that would be great!

So he tells me what a great golfer he is, after 9 holes I'm beating him by 5 strokes, he says Oh I forgot I've got to get back to St. Louis, sorry.
His branch manager was there also so we finished 18 and the branch manager took me to a fried chicken buffet.

WTF

Minivan talk, so here goes

Minivans hadn't been around long I don't think, I saw a deal on a used one. A Chrysler. I told my wife I think I'll buy you that.
She says I'm not driving that. I don't even want to be seen in that I'll walk first.

Well ok then.

Ended up getting her a LeBaron.

Dude, that ranchero would be the hottest thing there with that 351c. Engine would be worth more than the car.

I remember after I bought it I needed a part for it and got the numbers, was shocked that it had a cleveland instead of a windsor.

Dad had one of those, paid cash with stock market gains.

Worst car he ever owned.

We had good luck with the Lebaron. It was owned by the sales manager at a dealership I did business with, had been taken good care of. He took a job at the Ford dealership and had to ditch the chrysler, plus they gave him a car to drive.

Is the title spelled wrong on purpose, did I miss a joke? I legit can't read this day of the week without sounding it out like wed-ness-day, so the title short circuits me.

Covid times hotels suck.... Last one I stayed at have gave me a granola bar and a cold microwave breakfast sandwich (need to microwave) for their bagged breakfast. This one was a muffin, yogurt, cold hard bagel, and hard-boiled eggs. JFC, the bags were better when they had hot breakfast. Muffin, granola bar, apple, and a cake thing.
