Waffle House and college football success

a lot of WH's use lard. Which is why its so tasty.
 
Loved Waffle House after the bar. Great people watching at 2:30AM.

I saw more fights at dennys than waffle house back in the day. Only time these places are any good is at like 2 am when youre hammered drunk

Nah I love getting me an all-star at like 6:00-6:30 am before work. They get you out of there quick and it's good food

When pressed for time, I've had my head out the window a few times on that route just to stay awake.

All-Star Breakfast is the best meal value in the restaurant industry.

My wife and I usually split it and just order an extra hash brown.

I’ve been to plenty of high end restaurants, and the first thing that always crosses my mind is “man, a nice Texas cheesesteak melt with hash browns smothered and capped sounds good right about now”

Can't really mess up breakfast food. Don't overcook my eggs, screw up my order and get me out of there and I'm happy. The waffle house by me does really well at all of those.

It's ok for what it is, if you are in a crunch and nothing else around is really open. I wouldnt call it "great food" by any means though.

I like shit like Olive Garden and Cheesecake Factory every so often, but i'm not gonna say it's "great". It tastes good enough for what it is though.

You can definitely mess up breakfest food lol.

Overcooked eggs, burnt bacon/sausage happen a lot at restaurants thats why I tend to avoid eating out for breakfast. Ill get a McDonalds breakfast if I'm in a hurry every once in awhile but anything else meh

None of which the waffle house by me does. I'm out of there in 30 minutes or less every time too. I trust it more too bc they are cooking right in front of me

There's no waffle house's in California I don't think, at least not around my area. Last time I went to one was like 10+ years ago when I was in Texas and went on occasion when I lived in areas that had one.

We only have Dennys and Ihop here, which Ihop is compeltely disgusting.

We used to hit up Dennys back in the younger drinking days when we were out until after 2AM. It was good when drunk and hungry at least lol. I went there a couple months ago because it sounded good for some reason. Got some nasty ass burnt rubbery eggs and bacon that was burnt to a crisp. With some mediocre pancakes.
