In his acceptance call, he thanked his OL and pointed out that he only got sacked 9 times all year. Archie commented that he had been sacked 11 times in one game. LOL ... playing for the Aints back then isn't what it is now.

I saw something on this and the discussion was that Bennett wasn't eligible for the college HOF because he wasn't a first-team All-American. Sounds like he has some pretty good people lobbying for him to change the rules because the guy has won two natties and was offensive MVP for 4 playoff games.

I'd vote for the kid even though he is a dirty dawg.

If you wanna be cool, you do like Waylon Jennings and no show your HOF induction. It’s pretty much just a glorified awards show, and when David Crosby is in the Rock and Roll HOF twice, but JJ Cale isn’t in at all, all HOFs lose all credibility

I think the most limiting factor is the "you must be this tall to enter" sign that guards the door, and it is set at 50". :noidea:

Yer just mad because he’s accomplished more than any A&M QB ever

The CFB HOF has some weird requirements. For example, Leach is like .04% away from the win percentage you have to have to so he won't be eligible. You have to have a .600 winning record and he is .596.

Erk Russell is not eligible because you have to be a HC for 10 years and he was only a HC for 8 years, DC at UGA for 16 years, with a NC at UGA, and 3 at Georgia Southern (played in 2 more). So you have a DC/HC for 24 seasons, 4 NCs, played for 2 more, and he can't get in the HOF. It's just a dumb and arbitrary rule.

Auburn has at least 3 wins on Leach and I’m perfect OK with Auburn forfeiting those games if it got Leach in.

Honestly if the HOF doesn’t change their rule for him then a couple of programs need to do this to get him in.

Is this the award given out to college students who are currently as old as Peyton or Eli Manning?

I'll give up A&M's wins against him at any school but TxTech. Fuck those goal post attempted murderers.
