That was a poor choice that kid made. Actually his basketball season was already over when he did what he did. According to sources close to the team he was released from the team just hours before, and had not been with the team in a game since December 20th. He had recently gone back home to deal with personal issues. I suspect his personal issues may have been part of what led to his poor decision that evening.

FWIW, it looks like the charges are going to be dropped. Seems she was beating him and he was trying to calm things down. At least that is the scuttlebutt at this point.
