There should be little doubt that if humans were exclusively carnivores we’d be at the top of the food chain. There is not a more efficient killer in the animal kingdom than humans. The argument we are not at the top of the food chain is based pretty much solely on the fact that many societies are primarily non meat diets.

I actually eat anchovies on my thin crust pizza along with pepperoni and mushrooms.
