Series Thread NLCS- Braves vs Dodgers

Snit brought in Greene, damnit

Well I should've known it'd be a shitty night when my dad called me and said Saban had Covid 5 minutes before the game started so...new day tomorrow. Not expecting much tomorrow

I mean, it's not like he's trying to get a Bryce Harper contract. Anyone getting a 4+ year deal is going to be a risk, but you take that risk with the greats, IMO.
I worry about any catcher signing a long deal at his age. Mauer was one of the best catchers ever until he signed. He ended up being a mediocre first baseman pretty quickly.

Bad night last night, but at least Greene and Webb were the only good relievers used and they can still be used today. Hopefully the Dodgers got that out of their system last night.

We need to make Jansen work here, because if he has an easy inning I feel like it'll come back to bite us later in the series

More likely to bite us in the ass later. It'll make Roberts think he can use him to actually close a game.

I watched the first 3 innings and JFC, it was like the Dodgers all got released from 20 yr prison sentences and the Braves pitchers were the nearest hookers to the prison. It's was a full-on, demoralizing, old-fashioned ass whooping.

Won't be surprised if LA wins out. That's a tough L to forget.

I bet you're a blast at parties.

Grant Dayton should be "injured" & the Braves should get Newcomb on the roster.

Depends on the mental makeup of the team, imo.

On the one hand, I can see your point. There are definitely some teams that would not be able to recover.

But, there's also something to be said for chalking it up as "one of those games" and letting it go.

Kershaw vs the rook tonight.

Depending on how he pitches, could be Peyton Kershaw.
If you’re besmirching the great Peyton Manning, who has two Super Bowl rings and a winning record against Tom Brady in the playoffs, I’ll go upside that head
