Zach Wilson could be the luckiest son of a gun ever..

I suppose it comes down to whether you’d prefer to have a QB who puts up good stats or one who helps his team win.
There have been far more games they've lost despite him playing well than wins where he didn't.

If your name is Zach and you’re a Mormon, are you really that lucky?

hard to compare stats across different era's, different rules, different playing styles

Tom Brady has more wins vs NFC teams in playoffs than Rodgers.....

GB has more than one playoff exit to a lower seed and an immunity to beating SF in the playoffs. His 1-3 NFCCG holds him back from being one of the best

Rodgers is one of the best pure throwers I've ever seen though, first ballot HOF, no doubt there. At his level, fair or not, QB's will be judged by SB wins, and he has one.
The last time he was in the NFCCG he threw for 287 yards and 3 TDs completing 69% of his passes and they lost by 5. The time before that, 326 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs completing 80% of his passes and they lost by 17. He wasn't perfect but he certainly didn't lose them those games.

He can't both be the MVP and the goat and not responsible for losses.

That's a stupid narrative. A QB plays really well but the rest of the team doesn't and it's his fault? I also don't think he's the goat but he's definitely one of the best. He's like the anti-Jimmy G, who plays like shit but gets carried in the playoffs and is called a "winner". Just doesn't make sense.

take the last time he lost to Jimmy G

GB gets ball back late in the game, death sentence for years if your QB is Tom Brady. GB goes 3 and out and gives ball right back to SF. On third down GB had two WR's breaking open but A Rodge forced it to triple covered Davante Adams

Jimmy G leads a methodical drive into FG territory to win the game, he didn't do anything special (that I recall), just took what was there, ate up the clock, and set up the FG. Sometimes doing that is better than always trying to be the hero.

Now, Jimmy G isn't better than Rodgers, not even close. But it's danger of just looking at statistics. Now if Rodgers had clutch gene Brady has and his statistics, it would be a no brainer.

Again, I don't think he's Brady. That's not a fair comparison since literally nobody else is either. However he thoroughly outplayed Jimmy G that night, and Jimmy G didn't "lead a methodical drive". He threw two short passes that Kittle and Deebo got YAC on, and the rest of the plays were running plays before the FG. GB's special teams lost them that game.

sure, but if you're going to say Rodgers is great in the playoffs and big moment of game he goes 3 and out because he ignored Lazard breaking free while forcing it deep, Lazard did his job, Rodgers didn't throw him the ball.

You are what your record says you are and in playoffs Rodgers is a .500 QB

He's above .500, but I digress. Jimmy G is a mediocre QB who plays on an elite team with an elite system. It's why Mr. Irrelevant was even able to take them to the NFCCG this last year. If you actually think Jimmy G is a better playoff QB than Rodgers then I don't know what to tell you.

never said he was, but Rodgers would take lesson from Jimmy G instead of playing hero ball all the time. If I had to pick qb for playoffs between Jimmy G and Rodgers, it would be Rodgers and wouldn't think twice.

it can't always be the other guys fault for every loss.

(yes, he's 12-10 in the playoffs)

I don't think Rodgers is a horrendous playoff QB but he's closer to Dan Marino than Joe Montana using earlier example

He's at the caliber of player where that is part of separation between other QB's, not just completion %, TD's, etc.

So he should strategically play like shit and be carried by his team like Jimmy G? The 49ers should probably have 2-3 SB wins over the last 4 years but their QB play has been abysmal. "Hero ball" is the dumbest thing I've ever heard in regards to Rodgers. He throws TD passes and scores points. It's not his fault the rest of his team isn't up to the task.

You're forgetting that the Jets are dumb.
