Yuck... I was actually defending Georgia on YouTube Chats

Totally agree and can't wait for our new schedule to kick in next year! No one is going to go undefeated, but we are going to have a ton of fantastic games.

Who's your out of conference next year?

Who's your out of conference next year?
You could read the thread, I listed it above:

2023 - @OU (canceled by SEC)
2024 - Clemson (Atl)
2025 - @UCLA
2026 - @Louisville, UCLA
2027 - @FSU, Louisville
2028 - FSU, @Texas (canceled by SEC)
2029 - @Clemson, Texas (canceled by SEC)
2030 - Clemson, tOSU
2031 - @tOSU, OU (canceled by SEC)
2032 - Clemson
2033 - @Clemson, NCState
2024 - @NCState

Starting in 2024, In Conference schedule - sample every other year 3-6-6 schedule (with the Nerds thrown in):

@Auburn, Florida, @Kentucky, GaTech | Alabama, @Oklahoma, Texas A&M, @Ole Miss, Mizzou, @South Carolina
Auburn, @Florida, Kentucky, @GaTech | @LSU, Texas, @Tennessee, Miss State, @Vandy, Arkansas
@Auburn, Florida, @Kentucky, GaTech | @Alabama, Oklahoma, @Texas A&M, Ole Miss, @Mizzou, South Carolina
Auburn, @Florida, Kentucky, @GaTech | LSU, @Texas, Tennessee, @Miss State, Vandy, @Arkansas

We would then have to win the SEC Championship game against the other top 2 in the SEC, and then 3-4 games against top 12 opponents.

You still worried about UGA's scheduling?

I don’t care about weak schedules anymore. Easiest schedule in the SEC East because UGA doesn’t have to play UGA.

If the money was the same, I’d be fine dropping to the Sun Belt since the playoffs are getting expanded and Cincy proved you can even make a 4 team Play-off as a G5 team
Weak schedules do not matter to the committee. All that matters is you win.

Seeing how we haven't had a 12 team CFP yet, we really don't know what the committee will do. Here is what I think will happen:

1. Obviously, 6 conference champs are in. Last year would have been kind of weird with UGA, Michigan, Utah, Kansas State, Clemson, and Tulane.

2. For the 6 at large, there will be 2-4 other teams that are obvious. Last year it would have been TCU, Bama, and Ohio State. Then you have the last 3-4 and that is where I think schedules will matter. Last year you would have had UTjr, USC, Oregon, PSU, FSU, and Washington in that group (maybe more, I am going by memory). That's 6 teams for 3 slots ... schedule will definitely come into play there. For example, FSU beat LSU, Oregon lost to UGA, UTjr beat Bama but had a really bad loss to USCjr, etc.

Why are you listing canceled games?

Why are you listing canceled games?
Primarily, because it was a list that I had previously done prior to UT and OU getting into the SEC, and the subsequent cancellations. When I cut and pasted it in I made those notations.

Secondarily, it explains why there might be a hole in our OOC schedule - 2023, as an example. There are 4 canceled games, and in 3 of those years, we will play @Clemson, FSU, and @tOSU. So those years are fine. But 2023 has Ball State in it because it was the only team we could replace OU with at the last minute.

Bs.

LOL, okay. You asked, I answered. Not sure why you think it's BS.

As for quality opponents, we don't need quality opponents for 3 of the canceled games ... we already have GaTech, and then Clemson, FSU, and tOSU in those years. You'd be hard-pressed to show me teams with better OOC schedules in those years. And because we are going to a 9 game IC schedule we won't be replacing them with crappy teams like Ball State. 9 SEC games, 2 P5 games, and then a crappy game like everyone else does.

As for Ball State, it is what it is. Schedules are made decades in advance. If you get a cancellation, it's impossible to get a really good team to replace it quickly. The SEC canceled the game in September 2022, and the 2023 schedules were already in the can. Which good P5 team do you really think we could have added, home and away, in less than a year? You are being disingenuous or just don't understand CFB scheduling. UGA tried for months and couldn't make it happen. I assure you they wanted a better team - our home schedule sucks, for the most part, and the UGA fans are not happy playing teams like Ball State. Here is our AD as reported in The Athletic: “[T]here really weren’t any (Power) 5 options out there. … So really, you’re limited to (Group of 5) opponents that had an opening on this specific date. Because if we looked for another day, then you’re domino effect, and so you’re really looking for just one opponent in one day.”

I don't know why our schedule offends you so much. We've historically had a great OOC, and you can't find a team with a better OOC in the future. Do you think that suddenly UGA decided that they just wanted a shitty schedule one year? The fans hate it, the players and coaches hate it. I assure you the town of Athens hates it as they don't get the number of people spending money. In other words, no one likes it. So why would they do it?

Tennessee was able to replace their Oklahoma cancellation with NC State. Sure, NC State isn't necessarily Oklahoma but still a named opponent.

Yup. UGA fans just like to make excuses.

Scheduling weak teams at home is a flat out money grab. I don't like it when Wisconsin does it. And the other teams are not immune to that dislike.
You should join teamACC where we schedule G5 teams on the road

Dude … I’m not making excuses. I fucking posted a thread months ago pointing out out weak schedule. We have one year with a lousy schedule and you get your panties in a wad. Tell us where UGA touched you because your obsession with this is really weird.

Other than 2023, tell me the teams that have tougher OOC schedules than UGA do, even after having to cancel 4 games against OU and TX.

Also, the reason UTJr could book the game against NCSU is they had an open weekend that matched up with them and not us, and we already have a series booked with them. Also compare future OOC of UTJr with UGA … it’s not close.

You’ve never answered my question … why would UGA want to schedule a crappy game when they’ve been one of if not the best OOC scheduler for quite a while?

Makes the schedule more respectable. haha
Is this any less respectable?

GaTech every year
2023 -
2024 - Clemson (Atl)
2025 - @UCLA
2026 - @Louisville, UCLA
2027 - @FSU, Louisville
2028 - FSU
2029 - @Clemson
2030 - Clemson, tOSU
2031 - @tOSU
2032 - Clemson
2033 - @Clemson, NCState
2034 - @NCState

What's ironic here is that we actually share several future OOC games with your team - FSU, UCLA, and Clemson. So, if ours is not respectable, neither is yours. You also have Utah, Houston, and Arizona State (who we played in the past - that's a fun road trip), while we have Lousiville, tOSU, NCState, and play Clemson five times. And sure, we had future series with OU and TX before they entered the SEC. The idea that anyone would think that UGA was dodging a really tough OOC schedule is absurd.

For a 13-year period (2022-2034), we had OOC games with:

Oregon (1)
OU (2)
TX (2)
FSU (2)
Clemson (6)
tOSU (2)
UCLA (2)
Lousiville (2)
NC State (2)
GaTech (13)

Show me any other team that was close to doing that. Off the top of my head, the only ones that were close were TX, OU, tOSU, and Clemson. ND obviously does, but they are an Independent.

Settle down! No need to get so excited over a joke man! You have a lot of pressure on you as a fan huh? hehe Keep that energy! Don't let your team down! :dhd:

We know what they are doing now. Until we have the 12 team all we can go on is current setup. Weak schedules do not matter if you win out.
