Yuck... I was actually defending Georgia on YouTube Chats

Settle down! No need to get so excited over a joke man! You have a lot of pressure on you as a fan huh? hehe Keep that energy! Don't let your team down! :dhd:
I can see how you might think I was worked up, but I wasn't.

You know I have a lot of respect for LSU and its fans. One of the great road trips there is. Can't wait to do that every other year.

You can blame me for starting the thread :pound: . I almost made it just a PM to @WhosYourDawggy but got lazy and posted it on here. I haven't been on much so missed all the talk.

I know that in the past, I cited the same thing as always, teams basically fight to get as many games in their home stadium as possibly. Since you don't have Power 5 teams willing to travel with no return trip, this usually ends up being teams like Kent State, UAB, etc. Also not a lot of teams have open dates in late November which is why you get Citadel at Alabama type games. However, SEC teams could totally lobby to move back conference games and fix that. I think they like that "open" week and free home game.

Keep in mind, CFB, like most things in life sadly, is all about the $$$$

On the old Hoopla we had all sorts of arguments about the late November OOC games, typically against terrible teams. My position was always that it doesn't really matter ... teams that play all 3 or 4 OOC games first, and then 8 or 9 straight IC games are getting a pre-season to tune up. SEC teams typically start SEC play earlier, but use that November slot for a second bye week. Pre-season or bye week both provide advantages. At the end of the day it's up to the conference and if it helped the SEC teams who cares what anyone else says - they can do the same thing but choose not to. That's on them.

I thought that the PAC and the B1G had a much more persuasive argument about the SEC and the ACC playing 8 IC games while they played 9, and not when you play your OOC games.

Yeah 9 IC games is just stupid. IMO, there should be more meaningful OOC games. I think 4/8 is best but with the SEC expanded, 9 just makes too much sense for SEC now. Plus, effectively, we are really only down to two major conferences now.

I can see more OOC matchups not involving FCS after expansion because conferences, like the new Big12, will be desperate to get meaningful OOC games and will travel with no return.

Teams like an Oklahoma State will need to get used to traveling to B1G and SEC stadiums with no hope of those teams returning the favor.

I think having the home game with no return (plus 12 teams making playoffs) will make these matchups more attractive.

I hope not ... I love going to away games - Arizona State, Colorado, and Notre Dame were all great games to go to for fans like me who likes to travel. No reason to not do a Home and Home with the B12, IMO.

The 3-6-6 is going to be killer. I can't wait to get back to Oxford, NOLA, and then Austin, Norman, etc. every 4 years. I will miss nashville every other year, but we do get Kentucky in October every other year.

Notre Dame is definitely an exception. You won't get them for home only.

However, Arizona State and Colorado could be great examples. There might be a 2-1 setup.

The key is that I think B1G and SEC schools will be more likely to schedule them if they can do a home only game. In the past, teams like Colorado would be considered too strong to not do home-home but I could see that changing in the climate with B1G and SEC getting leverage.

I also think it could impact other sports in the future. The Final Four this year is interestingly devoid of any B1G or SEC teams. I could see that changing in the future as teams like Rutgers will make 2x to 3x the $$$ of schools like Duke, Kansas, etc.

I think it’s hysterical that PAC fans are whining about SEC schedules. Oregon would be lucky to be 500 if they played in the SEC West. Hell a shitty Auburn team beat them with a freshman in his first game and they won the PAC that year.

4 cupcakes in OOC play and then easy wins vs. Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State. Add in 1-2 of Kentucky, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Missouri and that's 8-9 wins right there

One of the greatest cases of ‘a team giving away a game despite kicking the other team’s ass’ that I’ve ever seen. Possibly even The Greatest.

CFB’s #1 non-profit charity org resides in Eugene, OR. No one gives away more than the Ducks.

@WhosYourDawggy, I hope you are happy lol...

Yeah, to say UGA's schedule is soft is a little harsh as it isn't Georgia's fault. I also meant to say separate "plane" and not "plan" although that might be true as well lol.
i'd ask what the fuck youtube chats are, but you're arguing about college football so the whole thing is already a fucking joke.

You catch Arkansas, Ole Miss and KY at the front of the season before injuries and depth become an issue and you had better come to play. Those aren't easy W's right now by any stretch.

If you caught South Carolina at the end of the season and you better be hitting on all cylinders because they nearly took out ND in the bowl game.

You guys almost dropped the Washington State game and you want to talk crap its laughable.

We beat the PAC champ again the next year with another shitty team. Guess the PAC is just one big charitable organization.
