Yeah....it looks like we will reach 50 on April 1. Thats average for this time of the year. There is still snow on the ground in shaded areas.

I'll just leave this here.
To reduce my usage of liquid nutrients this Summer for my 'in ground' grow, I put together some 'super soil' so it will be mostly watering.
A guy named 'Sub Cool' put this together years ago and people love it. It's really hard to get an exact formula because people don't start off with regular soils, and use things like HP, or Fox Farms, or Ocean Forest as a starter soil, without knowing what's in it to start with, so those are always a guess.
So, her it is. Sounds 'Hot', but this will have 8 weeks to break down before I put my plants in the ground.
This is for 2 Cubic Feet of base soil.
1 Bag of Black Kow composted cow manure, which is 1 cubic foot.
1/2 Bag of hapi-grow landscape mix, which is 1 cubic foot.
Add
3 gallons perlite
3 cups Bone Meal
2 cups Blood Meal
3 cups Espoma all purpose garden fertilizer
5 cups Alfalfa Pellets
1 cup Down to Earth 4-2-4 'Tree & Shrub'
1 cup Down to Earth 6-2-4 'Fruit Tree'
1 cup Down to Earth 5-4-2 'Bio Live'
1/2 cup Down to Earth 'Azomite'
1/4 cup Lime (this would go up depending on how much peat moss you use. More peat moss, more lime. I didn't use any peat.
Do not plant seedlings or clones into this soil as it will burn them up.
Use the 'cold plug' method if you want to plant directly into this soil.
I have plenty already started, so I'm going to try both ways; transplant and cold plug seedlings.

I have 3 photo period seedlings that are 2 weeks old.
I'm going to put them in the ground tomorrow and see what happens.
I think it's warm enough at night. Lows 50 and above. Highs upper 70's to 80's

I don't think a seedling can actually 'flower', but that's an assumption on my part.
I might be wrong but IIRC a few years ago I was reading about operating hydro grows and the guy wrote about forcing small young plant clones to flower to check the sex of the original plant. I have smoked a few bowls since then so my memory aint what it used to be.
I'm going to find out.
It's been in the tent on a 15/9 light cycle
Outside right now it's 13/11.

If you got the seeds from a reputable source, I would not do this. Not sure if I'd do it, even if ya didn't.
It stresses the plant, and inordinate stress will likely cause it to "herm out" anyway.

They're fairly delicate in the seedling stage. It needs to be at the "end" of the seedling stage. Extreme temp changes, disrupted light cycles...will definitely fuck with the plant. Just be consistent with both.
Would that be when it has 3 to 4 nodes ?? Or longer

This was before seeds were widely available and probably before even Colorado legalized recreational use. IIRC the context was identifying males in a flood and drain system. Now that you mention it, the video may well have been about seeding out plants so you have a good seed stock for future grows. I went as far as building a flood and drain system but I ended up giving it to a friend because back then, like now, one plant in TN is a felony and I just won't cross that line. At least recreational cannabis is legal a couple of hundred yards from my house and possession is a civil offense with a $25 fine.
Mine have 3 nodes working on the 4th.
I have also taken my 2 Autoflowers out of the tent and put them outside.
They are about 6 weeks old.
I wonder what this will do to them.

It's neat to see this. I bolded the nutrients. I'm surprised to see the chemicals being added when you already start off with one cubic foot of cow manure. It sounds hot as hell to me even for outdoor grow. But I don't know anything about the "down to earth" product. It could be a mellow blend.
The Down to Earth products are organic fertilizers.
And each made with different stuff.
The Black Kow and the hapi-gro really don't have many nutrients in them (not immediately ready for the plant) . Not nearly enough for a grow.
Let me back up on those ratio's of fertilizer.
I knew going into it that I had some loose soil that this blended soil would go into, plus about 2 cubic feet of inoculated soil.
So, that formula up there I did 5 times for 10 cubic feet of soil. I estimated that I had an additional 5 cubic feet of my soil to go into it.
Maybe reduce the ratio's by 1/3rd.
They say organic fertilizer won't burn your plants, but avoid clones and seedlings.
It's also been in the ground for 6 weeks breaking down.
I'll let you know what happens.
I'm also doing this with my tomato plants.
They go into the ground today.

I see what you're doing. Smart. It has to help. And the recipe you're using looks good to me for the first half of the season.
I have already used 50lbs of the Alfalfa Horse Feed Pellets in the garden.
It gets wet, puffs up, gets wet again, breaks down looks like saw dust, blends right into the soil.
At $0.50 cents a pound, it's doing exactly what they said it would do. They said it wouldn't burn your plants.
