Nebraska-Wisconsin, Nebraska-Iowa -- are not.
So yes, rivalry games, i.e. (nationally televised games) are something recruits look at.

Texas has a rivalry game with OU and then a bunch of directional Texas schools and a coal mining college. CFB recruits don't give a shit about degrees, they are there to make the NFL. And Texas can't put anyone in the NFL with any success.

Texas has put two probowlers in the the NFL in the last decade. Earl Thomas and a kicker.

Yeah - I said, Texas has had a terrible stretch of coaches. It hasn't been because of a lack of recruits -- between Strong and Harmon they have struggled.

It is crazy -- every time I watch a Texas game -- I wonder how a team can be so poor at tackling. It is like watching a Pop Warner team.
