Alabama is a hard team to grasp right now. They still have all of that talent and Nick Saban so I am not writing them off by any means but they have to replace some of their best players last year and their backups didn't look that strong (especially at QB).

I think Alabama will still be very good but they have been supplanted by Georgia at the moment and I think that will still apply this year.

There is no way they beat Georgia. It will be an uphill battle for Tennessee in Tuscaloosa though.
 
all that talent hasn't been like it has before.. they lost 4 OL that started a year ago.. and not all to the NFL.. they lost them through the portal.. and the backups seem to have gone elsewhere too..

people really going to appreciate Bryce Young after going through the pains of Milroe or Simpson imo.

Not sure you are as giddy after Bama's top two QB's turned the ball over 5 times while completing under 50% of their passes. Bama is looking like they are gong to really miss Young.

Alabama has had a big time QB for quite a few years with Hurts, Tua, then Young. With question marks at QB -- they didn't quell those worries with 5 turnovers and 32 incompletions.

Edited to correct -- the article had said Simpson had 3 turnovers, but corrected it and said he only turned the ball over once. So only 3 turnovers for the QBs.

it's just spring but i can see why Nick has been working the portal. Milroe and Simpson have a ways to go.. However I thought the RBs were a bright spot.. they can create separation in the passing game and look to have good hands. Milroe and Simpson checked down to them a lot

I didn't even get to watch it -- just read about it. But if they completed less than 50% of their passes with multiple interceptions while throwing a ton of check down passes to RBs. Bama has REALLY big issues at QB.

Milroe threw 2 picks. 1 when it got tipped while throwing and it effected the trajectory of the pass and another was a Hail Mary before the half. He also had like 50 balls dropped BY recievers. His legs are also a big part of his game and he couldn’t use them today because of the tag off rule on QBs in this game.

Go back and look at the spring game stats of any of our QBs they are never good in the spring game.
