Today is the FIRST step…

He has a kid and needed to be closer to home.. plus Quinn>>>
The kid I get. I am curious as to why you think Quinn makes a difference. UGA v. UT last year:

YPG
UGA - 5th / 501.1
UT - 35th / 429.5

Passing YPG
UGA - 15th / 295.8
UT - 57th / 241.4

Our offense is going to be better this year. Now, it may be that UT highlights a few WRs, while we rotate them and then have great TEs. But, I can't imagine he was jonesing to get to UT because of Quinn.

He said Beck throws like Jalen Milroe 👀

Saw the game. Optimistic the defense will be much improved, but I am not sold on the offense at this point. Running game looks sketchy, Passing game looks like a 50/50 ball every throw. I am hoping Nick and Co will find the players to make this gel, but right now I am not sold.

what makes you optimistic about the defense? Losing Branch is a big blow, i thought he was the best player on that side of the ball a year ago.

Into King Nick putting the Death Star back together. Watch today as we no longer have MORON Pete Golding running our defense and FAGGOT Bill O’Brien running our offense.

The rest of yous are fucked. Just a matter on how we whipp all of your teams asses next year….either by a DEVASTATING run game through Jalen Milroe or a METHODICAL passing game led By Ty Simpson.

I’m so giddy I can’t wait!!!
He pretty much guaranteed 3 loses and the Bama Nation will lose their minds. Jinx is officially on.

New coordinator, new schemes, and players flying to the ball, which has not been seen in a few years under Golding. Optimism is all anyone has this time of year.

kevin Steele right?

lol Saban is desperate..looking to grab the ND QB that just hit the portal..

He saw enough of Milroe and Simpson.. thing is this kid doesn't look like a world beater either..

Bama got their QB

He didn’t exactly look great in the spring game whereas Hartman shined. Word in spring ball though was that Buchner looked better than Hartman more often than not and it was going to be a legit competition going into the fall.

But Buchner went into the portal right after the spring game so it may be that he was told he’s #2 now.

Or it could just be Rees poaching him because he recruited him to ND.

Alabama just had the best run of QBs in the history of college football, and it's not close. Regression to the mean should have been expected.

And, let's not forget that Bama won a bunch of natties with QBs that were very good game managers. They are loaded this year, and they get LSU and UTjr at home. I expect to see them in Atlanta, and to make the CFP.

The "rumours of [Bama's] demise are greatly exaggerated."

I don’t know Oklahoma has had a huge run of great QBs with very little gaps (this year being one of course).

USC had a Freakish run as well that I would put up against Bama.

University of Miami is up there back in the day.

I don’t have time to make lists I order to compare but I don’t Bama has the best run in history. Hurts doesn’t really count because he didn’t become elite until afterwards so you really have Tua, Jones & Young.

Oklahoma has been damn good at the position since 1999 and Josh Heupel

Miami had a run with:
Jim Kelly
Vinny Testaverde
Ken Dorsey
Bernie Kosar
Steve Walsh
Gino Torretta
Craig Erickson

It was a 20 year run.

What Alabama has had is the best run of offensive linemen in the history of college football. Mac Jones is good but put him behind Auburn’s line during the same period and you barely remember his name.

He got BOB'd after hitting HRs with Kiffin and Sark

Yep, they miss Flood who is with Sark at UT now too. In fact, they are replacing 4 starting OL lost to the portal from last year's team. They're heralded OT Tommy Brockermeyer couldn't crack the 2 deep despite the OL struggles over the past two seasons.. he too portaled (tcu).

Also, he has kept Holmon Wiggins as WR and that room has regressed severely. They have struck out with their bluechip players recently. Bryce #1 target was his RB a season ago..

However i think they have a really good RB room.. they will be leaning on them this season for both rushes and in the passing game. Nick has got his work cut out for him this year.. he isn't pleased with his QBs and Reese knows it

I think this has been their problem ... they haven't been as good evaluating talent as others. Everyone has misses, but they have had more than the other top teams, and certainly more than they had in the past. A lot of that has to do with their success ... it's hard to evaluate the talent when you are losing your coordinators and position coaches at the rate they did.

So, even though their classes were rated high, they got a lot of players that just weren't as good as their rankings - the Brockermeyer kids are prime examples (the one who stayed is a really good friend on my Bama son - I've met them and they are great young men, just not as good as advertised).

Yep.. I always look at thier '21 class that boasted it's dominance in the state of Texas.. Tommy, gone, Jojo Earle, gone, Damien George, gone.. Milroe? 😂 And who knows about Blackshire?

Their evals have really been off. They keep winning the rankings, but either the evals or the development have been off. I truly believe that it's caused by the coaching changes that are constantly happening.

This is why I really like what Smart is doing ... with Bobo and Muschamp as coordinators, he's trying to make sure that they core is going to be there for a long time. I think that is vitally important.

won't be enough next season when Sark rolls through and stomps on Kirby year 1 into the SEC
