Considering we struggle to find 4 worthy teams in most years I doubt the first round is going to be that great.

Considering we still have 118 day until we get CFB it’d be pretty neat if you stopped Debbie Downing about more football, ACE.

It’s not really more football because all those teams would be in bowls.

Someone who doesn't want to watch more good CFB, SMH:

Last year, which will probably be an outlier due to upsets (Utah wins PAC, KSU wins B12), the first 4 games would have been:

Kansas State @ UTjr
Tulane @ TCU
USC @ Alabama
PSU @ tOSU

Yeah, it would have been horrible having to watch those 4 games, or better go to some of those games at home fields.

If it went to chalk, you then would have had 4 NY6 Bowl Games:

UGA v. UTjr
Utah v. TCU
Alabama v. Michigan
Clemson v. TOSU

UGA v. Utah/TCU
Alabama v. tOSU

UGA v. Bama/tOSU

That would have been horrible to watch.

I'm not Debbie Downing. It's just saying .....how things have changed!

I remember when the Super Bowl was played on January 15.

Now, we have college football lasting until the 20th!

That's crazy.

It's more football games because those *ON CAMPUS SITE games aren't bowls.

Bowls those teams would typically have gone to will have to fill their slots with others.
6-6 rutgers to the car max camellia bowl stage....

False, unless you think they are going to be cutting bowl Games.
They are going to have to because they are struggling to find bowl-eligible teams to fill the slots they have unless they are going to allow 5-7 teams to start going to bowls and if they do they aren't going to be bowl games you are going to watch anyway.

This is also the last year where its' actually hard to make the playoffs.

They are going to eventually allow all 5-7 teams (and maybe beyond) into bowls because of $$$$$. And yes, people like me will still watch because of the gambling aspect.

I'll never understand why some people want less meaningful football games. Not only will the expanded playoff be fun to watch but there will be a lot more regular season games and CCGs with playoff implications.

So you’d be okay with a six-game regular season and a 128-team playoff?

Dude if you are expanding the playoffs so a PAC team can finally make it and get blown out by an SEC team then that ain’t meaningful.

This year you guys were in the hunt for playoff spot and should have lost your bowl game to North Carolina.

That’s not meaningful. I have no doubt you will get super excited and come up with a thousand scenarios on how you can get that last playoff spot just to get your ass handed to you. That’s just how you guys roll.

5-7 teams already have been when there weren't enough bowl eligible teams.

They used Academic Progress Rate (APR) for eligibility.
