That's even more reason for the Big 10 to poach Washington/Oregon and keep somewhat of that Big 10/PAC legacy.

One could say same about the more recent Sugar tie-in to the Big 12/SEC, but the Sugar's never been a holdup regarding pitting #1 vs #2 like the Rose Bowl was. The Sugar was always part of the Bowl Alliance and Bowl Coalitions.
