Stetson Worthington Bennet IV to the Rams in the 4th

I wanna know where you get Stetson’s work ethic sucks.

Dude walked on, transferred to a JUCO, transferred back and earned a starting job despite Monken writing him off from the get go.

You can trash his size, arm strength(even though it’s better than he gets credit for), etc, but I never got the impression that he’s lazy, and I doubt he would have been given the job of that were the case.

I can buy most of what you’re selling, but I think you pulled that one out of your ass. The Josh Rosen highly recruited, silver platter types tend to fit that description, not the dude that walked on and sat for years before earning the job and keeping it when he got it
The Rams drafted a few guys with not the typical path to the NFL. The Tennessee edge Byron Young we drafted in the 3rd had to take a year off and work at dollar general. They seem to have went for a few guys like that.

LOL ... when two notorious trolls go at each other and one troll doesn't recognize he is being trolled.

Let the doubters, doubt. I dare anyone to look at that 5 play TD drive against tOSU in the Peach Bowl and tell me how you can doubt. He threw the TD open. He threaded the needle twice on long pass plays down field. Under the most intense pressure there is. Let the haters hate.
"He had a great drive. No doubt he will be excellent in the NFL. No qb has had a great drive in a championship game, and not been AWESOME in the NFL."

6 years in college and didn't even graduate.... :dhd:

Wait...he didn't even graduate? I could accidentally graduate from college after 6 years

Blow me, asshole.

Look at his entire career and you'll see the same thing. Now, tell me all the college QBs you've ever seen make a drive like the one I pointed out. I am aware a single drive doesn't make the QB, but two seasons does. Use what little brain you have.

What good is a degree when you’re gonna be a millionaire either way

Don't know if he is going to need one or not. Just don't usually see players get 6 years in without graduating. COVID helped in this situation Id guess

Read your Homer ass midget slobbering post again, and call me stupid. Two words "Vince Young" and he wasn't vertically challenged

Two seasons in college guarantees absolutely nothing in the NFL. It is a completely different game.

College fans, especially fans of the top teams, don't seem to grasp how big the change will be going to the NFL. It is why you see so many QB's fail from top college programs, because you no longer have the ENORMOUS advantage of playing on a team with way more talent than 99.9% of the teams in college and in Georgia's case the last few years -- they've been more talented than 100% of the teams they face.

Once you get to the NFL -- you aren't going to be throwing to wide open WR's and you won't be out running all the DE's chasing you. Everyone can run and you have to be able to be anticipate and throw guys open. You have to be to make throws into small windows. You have to be able to take big hits, as you will get hit in the NFL.

I think Bennett will be a Chase Daniels clone. A guy who will hold a clipboard and be a trusted backup, who will have a long career doing that.

Took me 9 going part time at night

But I paid cash and had to take semesters off when money was tight

To be an athlete you have to take full time hours, correct? Unless you are a graduate with eligibility left

I get all that. I've not been posting here like SBIV is going to be a HOF NFL QB. But I will tell you that people have doubted him all his life and he has overcome each time. Maybe he has reached his limit, maybe he hasn't. No one had him getting picked when he did. He's going into about as good a situation as he could want to. I know this ... many people, sometimes me, doubted that he was the guy and we've been wrong every time. Time will tell.

Every single player drafted has overcome long odds to get to the NFL. I understand he isn't blessed with prototypical size, he wasn't a highly ranked recruit, etc., but in college he was in as good of a situation as any QB could want. He never stepped on the field in the last two years where he was facing a more talented team. He had one of the best OL in all of CFB protecting him. His skill position talent will all be playing on Sunday's.

Now the team's he will be facing will be as talented or more talented than the team he is on. His OL will be one of the worst in all of the NFL. This is also a team who hasn't had a first round pick in like 6 years, so they are void of much young talent. So I have no clue why you think he is going to the perfect situation. The perfect situation for him would be a team with an established running game and a great OL to give him protection and time to throw the ball, like Purdy has in SF. Detroit would have been the perfect spot for him. Cleveland, Philly, Dallas -- teams like that, with good OL and good running games. That isn't the Rams.
