Stetson Worthington Bennet IV to the Rams in the 4th

And when he has as much experience as Joe Burrows in the NFL he will be over 30, unless he starts next season.
Joe came right in and did well after he basically sat for a year. So there’s that

We will find out about this QB class. You think his play in big games was a fluke?

I think his age and experience helped him in college. And I think he was good enough to exploit teams who have 2-3 great players max. In the NFL he is going against 11 great players across from him on every down.

I also think Cincy has much better offensive weapons than LAR do. I also think Stetson will be forced to start at some point next season because Stafford has some serious miles on him. To that point, I wouldn't be surprised to see Stetson dropped to 3rd and someone like Wentz or Rudolph get signed just to prevent that from happening this year.

I wouldn’t discount many of those SEC defenses at all. Always loaded with athletes. Age and experience helped him for sure.

I’m not sold on a lot the QBs in this class. But we will see

Even an SEC defense doesn't have the speed and athleticism the worst NFL team does.

He will be working for that fast food restaurant again in no time...no offense to anyone that works at one btw. I rarely eat it so cry to the fatties that order at 11:59 pm.

Duh. Now we are dogging SEC defenses? Cmon there is no better preparation for a QB

No, I'm saying there isn't a single college with the talent of the worst NFL team. So success in college doesn't mean anything in the NFL where you go against better competition every single week. Things like size and attitude and ability to put in the work, does. Stetson wants the easy path, not to put in hard work. His attitude sucks and his work ethic does as well. NFL scouts and anyone impartial can see it. If he wanted a challenge he wouldn't be beating up on kids half his age for as long as he could, he would have jumped to the NFL as soon as he could get drafted.

I wanna know where you get Stetson’s work ethic sucks.

Dude walked on, transferred to a JUCO, transferred back and earned a starting job despite Monken writing him off from the get go.

You can trash his size, arm strength(even though it’s better than he gets credit for), etc, but I never got the impression that he’s lazy, and I doubt he would have been given the job of that were the case.

I can buy most of what you’re selling, but I think you pulled that one out of your ass. The Josh Rosen highly recruited, silver platter types tend to fit that description, not the dude that walked on and sat for years before earning the job and keeping it when he got it

He chose to be big fish in the little pond, competing against kids 25% his age. He's the stupid kid who has repeated every grade and is now 15 and in 4th grade who goes out and dominates kids on the football field. I'll take your word on Monken writing him off, the draft bio's I've read says he was going to sign with UL before UGA reached out and asked him to come back, which doesn't sound like writing off to me. NFL.com on his draft analysis even said some teams took him off their board for both size and attitude/character issues.

Yeah, he came back before the 2019 season to backup Fromm after Fields transferred, Monken didn’t get there until 2020, and that’s why Dwan Mathis started the season opener until getting benched in the second half against Arkansas in 2020. Timelines matter, buddy.

Does someone choosing to come back knowing he’d be a backup over a guaranteed starting job at a G5 sound like someone who’s lazy and wants the easy route?

He wasn’t a full time starter until a few games into the 2021 season. I think you’re talking out of your ass.

lol. It isn't a timeline issue, it's a "I don't give a shit about your starters" situation. What I saw from him on the field, what I have heard about him, and how he handles himself once he has won coupled with not wanting to leave college for a challenge because it is too easy to beat up on younger kids tells me all I need to know about him. I wouldn't have had him on my draft board and wouldn't have offered him an UDFA contract either. He has Vince Young without the size or talent written all over him. My money says he won't get a second NFL contract and instead will go back to UGA to continue living that Uncle Rico lifestyle.

I think you have homer blinders on and can't see he's a giant pile of trash. Winners want to compete and get better, he wants to stay where it is easy.

He had barely a seasons worth of starting at a major level post 2021. He had an extra year of eligibility thanks to Covid and he took it like tons of others did, and him repeating without the likes of Davis, Dean, Travon and Quay Walker, Cine and Tindall on defense, he helped his draft stock.

Do you say the same thing for every player that doesn’t leave early?

Was Nick Chubb that same way for coming back his senior season when he would have been drafted after his Junior season?

He’s small, he doesn’t have a cannon, he’s too old to be a rookie, I agree with all that.

But him being lazy is an incredibly dumb and lazy take

ok. When you take your homer glasses off and see reality, let me know. Or don't.

I would rather the Titans have drafted Stetson Bennett (or Hendon Hooker) than Will Levis... ugh...

Frankly, Titans should have kept Dobbs.

Titans had such a dumbass draft. First pick was an offensive linemen from a 1-11 Northwestern team and then the second pick was a mediocre UK QB that threw three INTs against Tennessee's secondary...
I wouldn't knock him for that, he's surrounded by skill players who are going to be hedge fund managers when they're 25, not playing in the pros. He was an elite prospect coming out of HS and lived up to it. He'll be a mainstay on your line for a decade+.

I mean the best defense Stetson has seen last year was Kentucky

That said any pick in the draft is a crap shoot too. Especially from the bottom of the 1st round on.

This is the first QB Mcvay has drafted and I’m gonna go with his assessment all day. He knows a bit about the passing game. Baker Mayfields attitude sucked as well but not while playing with the Rams

You seem pretty bitter towards Stetson and I get it. He’s rubbed some people the wrong way
