HooplaNation's Week 8 Discussion Thread

I was totally unimpressed with the domers yesterday. Louisville is 1-4! I know transitive isn't good but good grief. Louisville lost by 20 to the team that we saw get bent over and raped by Clem yesterday.

Alabama beat Ole Miss (1-3) by 15 and Ole Miss scored 48 points. They beat Missouri (1-2) by 19 points.

Notre Dame has struggled offensively most of this year but they have a very strong defense. They feel like a distant 5th for me. I'm tempted to start moving Penn State, Wisconsin, etc. over them but I'm going to wait and see how they look next week.

1 Clemson
2 Alabama
3 Notre Dame
4 Ohio State
5 Oklahoma State
6 Oregon
7 Penn State
8 Georgia
9 Texas A&M
10 Miami (FL)
11 Florida
12 Michigan
13 Wisconsin
14 BYU
15 Cincinnati
16 North Carolina
17 Iowa State
18 SMU
19 Marshall
20 Liberty
21 Auburn
22 Coastal Carolina
23 Minnesota
24 USC
25 NC State
ND at #3 is by default I’m assuming. They didn’t even look like a top 15 team on Saturday.
While they SHOULD win the next two before Clemson, they played bad enough to lose to any team left on their schedule.

If they play as bad as they did yesterday against Clemson, then GA Tech will be lol’ing at our score.

They’re averaging 31.5 points a game so I’m not sure I’d say they e struggled much outside of the first half of Duke and then Sat. Granted they haven’t played anybody yet and the offense has been in fits and starts. Last week FSU could not stop the ground game, it was two turnovers and the poor defensive play that kept the Noles in it.

I don't factor in the USF game, honestly. Any top 20 team will score a lot of points against a bad G5 team. I may be biased because I watched the Duke and Louisville games and didn't watch the FSU game. But when I've watched ND, they look very limited offensively.

Our offense is fine(9th ranked in efficiency) we just struggled in the RZ yesterday and in a low possession game that isn't good. We don't have anyone that can stretch the field consistently, which hurts. I'd put our O-line up with anyone in the country as well as our RB's. Book does need to play better though.

They certainly have at times. But they e run the ball better then they have in years. Book is just really inconsistent and it’s a worrying trend of yet another QB that declines the longer her stays at ND. Golson got worse, Wimbush, and now Book.

To me, Clemson is a the obvious #1. They are the only P5 team that has played that has not really struggled. Alabama's defense is not good. I may have put Georgia #1 if they had won, but they lost. I think the teams that I have above Georgia deserve to be in CFP above Georgia if they run the table. If they lose, Georgia jumps them.

This is the only time Notre Dame has looked bad (IDK, I didn't see the game), but they still won. I have Alabama at #2 and this week has really been the only one they looked like a Top 5 team.

They are good.

My girlfriend went to NC State so I'm fine with giving NC State love. Leary getting hurt is a big loss for them. He played really well when they were able to win at Pittsburgh.

Don't like my team being that high. No way we are the fifth best team and just sets us up for "see you dum aggy think too much of yourself"
