Stetson Worthington Bennet IV to the Rams in the 4th

On a similar subject, with hindsight removed, Brandon Weeden has to the worst first round QB selection of the 21st century right?

Turned 29 during his rookie season and wasn’t all that good in college. Glad he got rich playing sports after minor league baseball didn’t work out for him though

Rounds 1-7 is all crap shoot.

He has a tendency to do that to people who doubt him.

Ford is fine he just drinks the haterade sometimes. And I get it with Stetson but I personally don’t like or dislike the guy right now. We will see how it all plays out

That first one was Brady Quinn
The ND QB syndrome.

Biggest thing I remember is the Mitch Trubs draft Lolol.

Bears took that guy over Deshaun Watson and Mahomes. I was just floored because I watch a lot of ACC football and Deshaun was the clear stud QB coming out

So many early round picks at QB that don’t make it.

Jake Locker
Johnny football
Mariota
Jameis
Tebow
Carr
EJ Manuel
Trubs
Pax Lynch
Weeden

Talk about over thinking a top pick. I just don’t understand. Alabama had a serious run and what Deshaun did in those championship games??

Hell makes me love the “4th round” Stetson pick even more. Stetson is no Deshaun except for maybe at the massage parlor

What's funny is that no QB in this class is a sure-fire winner:

- AR-15 sucked in college, has measurables, but has never used that to win anything.
- Bryce is small, and doesn't have a cannon for an arm.
- Stroud dropped out of no. 1 for some reason.
- Will Levis was terrible in college even though he looks like the prototypical Pro style QB
- Stetson has won at the highest level, is a really smart QB, but has questionable size

What's funny is we will watch one of other QBs be the best in the class.

I have to agree. Think Stroud is pretty good but he went to Houston

Probably gonna be a 7th round stud watch lol

Best part about Trubs was noonthirty (pretty sure it was noonthirtyjoe) losing his shit on the old hoop because, in his words, since Trubs was drafted higher he was a better athlete and thus better QB than Dak.

The QB who was drafted into the best possible situation is Hendon Hooker. Detroit had a top 5 offense last year, and one of the best young offensive lines. They upgraded at TE and at both RB positions. Jameson Williams also barely played last year.

It is why I was hoping the Lions would take Bennett late, as he wouldn't have to carry the offense in Detroit, just make a few plays here or there and the OL would give him time to make plays and he'd be surrounded by weapons. Detroit went the Hooker route though once he dropped, which I don't have much of an issue with, as it was great value.

That said -- I think Bryce will be, by far, the best QB in this class. If Stroud had went to a better situation, he had a shot.

What a QB class that was with Trubs leading the way ha

damn, dude's already in hospice

WTF is the situation?
Doubt it is anything bad, just poor wording by McVay. I had heard he was injured and likely headed to a reserved list, probably just a hangnail or something that would allow the team to protect him from being released but also not take up a roster spot. All teams fudge the "injury" and NFI lists to protect players they don't want to expose to other teams.
