Somebody's exaggerating, being stupid, or looking for attention here. Namely the author David Hookstead (a Wisconsin grad).

That would be possible late December, January, February, but the odds of temps like that in November are de minimis. Even in the slight chance they were to get that cold in November, it would be after midnight. In that case it's gonna be fucking cold during daylight as well.

In all time record keeping for Madison, the high was 3° on Nov 28th 1887 and the low was -14°.
That high would likely be in the middle of the afternoon, and that low would likely be at about 4 am.

Those idiots boast about southern teams not wanting to play in the cold when they are scared to play at night and none of their teams want to play a bowl game up north also.

There is a reason bowl games are played in Florida, California and Texas. People like to travel to those places.

People do not want to go to Detroit, Baltimore, Indianapolis, Milwaukee or some other northern shithole.

seriously..the inner harbor in the summer is terrific.. some great crab spots and go catch a game at Camden Yards.. you'd be surprised how much you'd enjoyit
