Iowa and Chicago were in Conference games. That’s rough.

Sparty was Michigan Agricultural College at the time of that beat down. And Ferris State was Ferris Institute. They’re a DII powerhouse now.

Michigans HC for that WV beatdown was Fielding Yost. Who played at WV. Musta been some bad blood.

It's a long list.
I cut it off at the first year after 1945.
Like I did for Oklahoma

Guessing a lot of the list is between 01-26.

Yost liked running up the score.

Had a five year run where the combined scores were 2821-42.

Wasn't there legit a time where Michigan would teach teams how to play football and then play them, destroy them and count it was a legit W?

I am certain that every University has questionable wins ... it is nice that everyone jumps on board to attack Michigan. The OP started this thread to somehow (in his mind) this validates the #1 ranking in the Coach's Poll. Michigan leads in total wins, but runs behind Alabama and ohio state in winning percentage (which is more impressive in my mind). Oklahoma isn't that far away.

I remember that 1983 beatdown of Minnesota.

Turner Gill, Mike Rozier, Irving Fryer.

Carlisle Indian School...I'm pretty sure Jim Thorpe played there...don't know if he suited up against Michigan...just saying and Wabash is now a D3 school that usually makes the playoffs...but that looks like it says girls at the end so I'm not sure if it's a spoof or for real

If these are the guys in the stands....

Thorpe didn’t play against Michigan.

Atleast it didn’t show up on CFB reference.

Carlisle was a powerhouse for awhile though. Won a “Natty” with Thorpe and Pop Warner as HC.

Only 15 schools have a better winning percentage alltime.
