Nick Saban keeps fighting against NIL

When Alabama coach Nick Saban first complained about the NCAA's still new NIL reality, some thought he was simply firing a warning shot at college football before he exploited the latest device for getting the best possible players and kicking everyone's ass.

What I and most others who don't cheer for menstrual cycles have been saying all along. Saban had a foolproof system of payments and bagmen created in a way the NCAA didn't care and he got whatever player he wanted. NIL has screwed all of it up and Lil Nicky is pissed. Literally no one cares though when he stomps his children size 6 shoes and throws a tantrum.

Yeah, I don't know about bag men, etc. Not saying that's not the case. Just haven't heard much.

But he whines about anything that he thinks might be a threat to Alabama being at the top of cfb.

Like when cried about HUNH offenses.

But he has always been able to adjust.

I agree with the article, he's upset because this is one that he may not be able to adjust to.

yeah. the shine that comes off of him for being the best CFB coach ever, is starting to come off the more he complains about NIL. Like we get it... u hate it and you wish you still had a clear edge with Kirby on your staff handing players cash under the tables and keys to sports cars.

The Dodge dealership in Tuscaloosa had a hard time keeping Chargers in stock.

Alabama football players parents number one career path was house sitting.

Trust me Saban perfected NIL before NIL was a thing. As soon as the NCAA folds and the old way is a decent memory someone is going to cash in and write a book on what was going on.

Derek Henry who never had two nickels to rub together while growing up suddenly walks into a dealership and buys a $30k car with cash.

There were tons of bag men for every top recruit.

I do remember something about cars.

I just never paid much attention to that stuff because I assume everyone was doing it to some degree.

Yup, everyone was doing it to some degree. The difference is not everyone continues to single out other schools who are now playing within the rules.

And that's what folks find annoying and why Saban catches so much shit from fans of other teams.

Teams start finding ways to become more competitive with Bama and Saban starts crying about how unfair it is.

In the past, he's always been able to adjust, if nothing else, by bringing in coaches like Kiffin and Sark to upgrade his system.

I doubt there's anyone he can hire to upgrade whatever NIL collective Bama might have.
