Blue chip ratio is out for 2023 ...

Was that the year Jim Jeffcoats kid came out? I was shocked he didn’t get drafted
he was the ultimate tweener.. he was solid for us but NFL didn't like his size at all

"Past results do not guarantee future success."
All it means is that historically no one has won without being above 50% blue chip. Maybe there will be one someday, but it isn't likely. Even less likely with the new CFP because that team would have to win 3/4 games in the CFP.

Not likely is not zero. I wonder what odds I could get taking the field.

Yep no TCU/Cincinnati type team is winning a 12 team playoff. Those types of teams blew their only chances in the 4 team format.

The field of non-50% Blue Chip teams? The odds would be very, very long.

This weird since you were ranting, a couple months back, that average stars don’t matter.
If you don't understand that average stars don't matter, not sure I can help you much. I explained it back then, you can look it up if you want.

As @Thiefery pointed out, not my list or formula. Basically, it's accurate enough for what it means - looking at history, no team without 50% or more blue chips (4* and 5*) has won a NC in the BCS/CFP era. Ergo, looking forward you can get a highly accurate list of the teams that have a chance to win the NC in any given year by counting their blue-chip players.

You could make it more accurate, I suppose, by using an index that differentiates between low 4* and hig 4*, but it's not needed here for the purpose of the index.

where's the DEACS
