B1G to use "Flex Protect Plus" schedule in 2024 and 2025

They (the fans) consider Ohio State to be a rival. That isn't really returned though. They don't really have that real rival like Ohio State/Michigan or even Michigan/Michigan State.

I guess at least they've won the Big 10 a couple of times. Better than Miami and their ACC = ALL CANES CONFERENCE! (to 0 ACC titles currently) crap :pound:
Sans the Kerry Collins/Kijana Carter years they really have not been dominant and that was almost 30 years ago (which is hard to believe). Paterno was totally against joining the conference which seems more rational each year

I'm surprised they didn't make the MD game a protected rival. They played every year from like 1960 until PSU joined the B1G. PSU just never fit in from a rivalry perspective. Their traditional rivals were always Pitt, Syracuse and WVU.

I think the "latecomers" should be paired as rivals. Penn State-Nebraska and Maryland-Rutgers.

They really only had 1 "dominant" year (1994). They've never had a multi year run of dominance.

Penn St/Nebraska should have been protected.

They are 10 - 8 all time.

Nebraska has won 4 of the last 5 since joining the Big 10 in 2011.

Dude LSU is mediocre most years. They've won 10 games three times in the last decade. Michigan State is consistently better than them, and michigan plays them every year.
Did you mean to use the green font?

We are supposed to still throw LSU in the upper good-elite tier because they won that blessing of perfect circumstances national title in 2019.

2010-2013 was the last time LSU was a consistent elite threat. Its been a decade.

To be fair I wouldn't call them "mediocre" outside of 2020 and 2021 theyve at least been above average. But nowhere near elite outside of 2019

I’ll bet if you polled fans outside the B1G and SEC homers who they’d want to play to get a win, @Sparty or @LSU, they’d overwhelmingly say @Sparty.

The B1G is so tough even Saban couldn't win a title there.

My argument is just that calling LSU elite in the current time is a joke.

I never once said Sparty is elite.
