B1G to use "Flex Protect Plus" schedule in 2024 and 2025

The 2019 season is skewing things for them a bit I think, as that is the only season they haven't lost at least 3 games over that timeframe. They also do have the potential to be MSU-level bad, considering they were 11-12 between 2020 and 2021. My point was, that 2019 season aside, I'd say most years they're a solid team but not one that is going to make your schedule some sort of gauntlet.

I exclude 2020 from any stats. There were no OOC and some in-conference games and bowls were canceled. Just a weird season all around.

Nebrasky's 1 win vs Ohio State was Joe Bauserman related

It's tough to gauge some teams from that year, but that LSU team wasn't going to be any good any season. They had 3 different QBs make starts lol

That lousy son of a bitch should have never seen the field at the FBS level. It's astonishing thinking back to those days when we had to settle for that at QB.

That was the leftovers from the Tressel era. His QB recruiting was very forgettable for the most part outside of Terrell Pryor

Troy Smith was a afterthought to Justin Zwick, we just got lucky there.

I forgot how close we got to losing to Toledo in 2011 when Bauserman was still starting.

They had the ball at the 17 yardline with a chance at the end down by 5.

Good grief.

Rhule has a nice '24 schedule to work with

To be fair, we were not good that season and Toledo was 9-4. I'm surprised we actually pulled that one out tbh.

They're a top 10 program during this time frame. If you're a team like Auburn who already has to play Bama and UGA, adding another team like LSU is the definition of a gauntlet. No different than MSU having to deal with current Michigan, OSU and PSU.

Said this before, but they finished .500 in SEC play. Give them an OOC schedule they likely are 8-4. That team wasn't bad. Obviously, not up to LSU standard, especially coming off the year they had.

Lost to 5-5 Missouri. 4-7 Mississippi State and got absolutely destroyed by a 6-5 Auburn team.

Plus totally non competitive against Bama and Texas A&M the 2 best teams they faced.

They werent awful but they were below average. They did upset Florida but their best win outside of that was against 5-5 Ole Miss
