SEC Schedule Drops Tomorrow

So, let's have everyone schedule OOC like this:

XpgCGIQ.png
Let’s not pretend Ga Tech is a tough game for you guys.

Most big programs in the SEC are playing a big P5 opponent.

Auburn has played Clemson multiple times, Oregon, Washington, Penn State and we have Cal and Miami coming up.

You take out Ga Tech and there isn’t anything special about what you are doing.

LOL ... nothing special about scheduling Clemson (2 time NC winner in the past 6 years) 6 times, and then scheduling home and homes with OU, TX, tOSU, FSU, UCLA, Lousiville, and NC State.

Also, starting in 2026 we play two legit P5s each year - @Louisville/UCLA, FSU/Louisville, Clemson/tOSU, @Clemson/NCState. And, we had 3 other years before TX and OU came into the SEC where we had scheduled FSU/@Texas, @Clemson/Texas, @tOSU/OU. Show me anyone scheduling 7 years of 2 legit P5s. Bama does it, why not you?

If you come to an OOC scheduling fight with UGA, bring a gun, not a knife. Few have been scheduling OOC as aggressively as UGA. Certainly not you guys with Baylor, Cal, UCLA, and Miami. And I type that knowing that you actually play a very good OOC schedule compared to others.

No one is pretending that GaTech is good right now, but they are better than the garbage you play, and with a new coach they can be competitive. FWIW, Ga Tech is on a two-game win streak against you guys. They can't be too bad when they have a decent coach.

For one take out Ga tech and 2 years you only played 1 P5. Second you only played 2 non-GT P5s twice in seven years.

You brought up Alabama but they are basically scheduling one P5 game a year that I can remember.

Auburn has a good P5 game every year and has for quite sometime. If you want to compare overall schedules over the last 7 years I doubt you find a year that Georgia had a stronger SOS than Auburn.

You can cherry pick BS all you want if that makes you feel tough but you’re not that special when it comes to scheduling for SEC teams.

LOL ... you basically ignored everything I typed and showed you and concluded "see, told you so." GTFO ... we literally have 4 (and had 7 scheduled) years in the future where we had three legit P5s scheduled, including some of the best teams in the country (Clemson, tOSU, OU, TX, FSU).

You say you have "a" good P5 every year, yet you don't. You have Baylor, Cal, UCLA, and Miami. No top teams there. Here is the past:

2008 @WVU
2009 WVU
2010 Clemson
2011 @Clemson
2012 Clemson (Atl)
2013 Wash State
2014 @KSU
2015 Lousiville (Atl)
2016 Clemson
2017 @Clemson
2018 Washington (Atl)
2019 Oregon (Dallas)
2020
2021 @PSU
2022 PSU
2023 @Cal
2024 Cal
2025 @Baylor
2026 Baylor
2027 @UCLA
2028 UCLA
2029 @Miami
2030 Miami

Show me one year where you came close to scheduling this:
@Louisville/UCLA/GaTech
FSU/Louisville/GaTech
Clemson/tOSU/GaTech
@Clemson/NCState/GaTech
FSU/@Texas/GaTech
@Clemson/Texas/GaTech
@tOSU/OU/GaTech

The funny thing is I've always said that Auburn plays one P5 every year. So you coming at UGA's OOC which is clearly better than yours is an interesting hill to die on.

And saying were aren't special with OOC scheduling in the SEC. Show me someone who has consistently scheduled OOC better. It's not you guys, even though you are better than most.

I'm not coming after your schedule I'm just saying it's nothing special as you seem to think it is and not superior to most top SEC teams.

We don't have Clemson on our schedule because if you look at the past we have played them probably 6 times in the last 12 years and both fan bases have been there and done that. Would love to play FSU and used to every year but it just hasn't worked out.

It's been documented that Auburn has a tough time finding P5 teams that will play us in fact I was shocked that Penn State did and it was like 40 years since Auburn had a B1G team come to Auburn. That's not a lack of desire it's a lack of interest for B1G teams. We play who will agree to schedule us, to be honest. Our Athletic department sends out a list of open dates to all P5 schools every year and most of the time we schedule who we hear back from which isn't many. That's just the truth.

I will say historically its mostly been ACC and B12 schools that have wanted to play but recently we've pretty good luck with PAC teams which makes for interesting games. I'm actually excited about playing Miami as I wasn't happy the last time we played them in the 80s.

Seriously, show me one team that has a better past or future OOC schedule than us. We've proven it's not you. Just show me one team with 2 legit P5s in multiple years, and I mean legit ... not Cal or Baylor. Then show me those that have 3 even if one is GaTech level.

LOL, but whom as that been documented? UGA hasn't had a problem getting Clemson, tOSU, OU, TX, Notre Dame, FSU and more. Somehow those teams are afraid of Auburn?

LoL... Over the past 15 years, Baylor is head and shoulders better than Georgia Tech or NC State or UCLA, even with a few down years.

Fool's errand to quibble over what makes a "legit P5." Teams are up, then they're down. Sometimes a team schedules a game five years out and it would have been a better matchup when it was agreed to.

Bottom line: nobody plays 12 world beaters.

Sure, I can't argue with what you said. But, I noticed you didn't mention tOSU, OU, TX, FSU, Clemson (6 times), Notre Dame, Oregon, and all the others that are clearly legit P5s. There are very few teams that play an annual rivalry P5, and then teams of that caliber, and especially not 3 in a year.

We get criticized for playing the G5 and lower teams. I was pointing out that some of us also play aggressive P5. You can laugh at GaTech all you want - I sure do - but they've won more ACC titles than Miami, including ones in 2009 and 1998. Paul Johnson had two 11-win seasons with 2 appearances in the Orange Bowl, winning one. They have sucked recently for sure, and I hope they do forever, but they aren't G5 bad.

I then pointed out the aggressive nature of our scheduling, something as a traveling fan I love. I used Baylor as an example because @Wild Turkey, an Auburn fan, was simply misstating our OOC schedule. I'll say it again ... criticize our 2023 schedule ... it's bad, and I hate it. But I'll fight back against anyone who criticizes our OOC in general. The facts are clear there are few, if any, programs scheduling them tougher.

To be fair, A lot of these P5 v P5 matchups are scheduled YEARS in advance.

sometimes a team is good when scheduled but turns out to be shit 5-6 years later when you actually play.

Ohio State got this with Cal, Virginia Tech and Washington a couple of times. They were good when the games were agreed upon, but ended up being bad when the games actually got there.

Agreed ... FSU wasn't good when we scheduled and appear to be getting better.

I honestly don‘t give a fuck about OOC as they are fun games but SOS includes conference game and you’ve played in a division that has had both Florida and Tenn down in fact Missouri won your division twice so if you beat Oregon that’s no major feat. Auburn beat Oregon with a senior QB that is a starter in the NFL right now and we had a freshman at QB in his first game ever.

You’re tooting the horn way to hard and your schedule is not special.

Dude, you are moving the goalposts. My posts were clearly all about OOC. You responded about our OOC until I provided our OOC schedule that is, in fact, special, and couldn’t argue against it so you are now talking overall SOS and IC schedule. GTFO.

You sound like those PAC teams that brag they don’t play FCS teams. No one cares.

Your schedule isn’t special just deal with it.

LOL, yet after repeatedly asking you to provide just one - one - SEC school with a better OOC, you can't. Just take the L and move on.

Your OOC isn’t special you play one P5 plus GT.

Practically everyone else does to. Heck we beat the evidential PAC champion two years in a row.

I’m glad you’re super proud so live in that world.

You are normally not this stupid.

“One P5 plus GT” is two P5, and we scheduled 6 or 7 years of 3 P5. Then look at the quality of the P5. You still won’t and can’t show me the teams with better …why is that?

Seriously dude take the L and move on.

I am proud of our OOC, but keep responding because you are being so dense.

Auburn is a lil program, UGA is not

that's the difference. nobody has ever said "We may have lost but at least it was to a quality program like Auburn"
