Titantic Claims 5 more?

If the hull is intact, I read that the breathable air will be exhausted tomorrow morning.
If the hull is intact why the hell isn’t there a homing device to allow them to be found.

I say hull integrity was compromised and they’re already dead.

They steered the thing with a PlayStation controller and used construction pipes as ballast. Whatever corner they cut with the homing device could have failed.

I agree with you though

Getting crushed to death by 120 kPa of water would be an interesting way to go.

This sub is being steered by a $30 controller and you think they've invested in some sort of basic safety technology?

That means they are fucked. It will take more than a day to get that thing to the surface.
There's a heavy lifter on site and it doesn't take that long to lift it with the vessel that takes them out there. But yeah, at this point, no hope.

My guess is that they stay on site for another 5 days, then as soon as they can leave without criticism or investigation, everyone goes home and that capsule stays down there forever, unfound. If it took 100 years to find the freaking Titanic, they'll never find that thing and there won't even be any motivation to do so.

It's a nightmare. If those people are alive right now, I'm guessing they're acutely aware of the lack of oxygen in the air and there's psychotic, all-embracing panic going on. They're in hell.

So evidently the depth is so deep that our Navy subs can't even get to where this sub is.

I'm totally rethinking my initial "I get on it for 250K statement" because the more you read the more this seemed like a death trap from the get go. Who gets on a sub that goes down deeper than our Navy subs can that we spend billions on? That does not sound smart at all.
surely the price is about to go down. what's your new number?

If ever.

A recovery mission would have to be robotic and it would take weeks to get everything in place to hook onto it and pull it up to the surface.

That doesn't even begin until they find the thing.
