TV Series Black Mirror

What is with all the anger in this thread?
"the show is too woke" is the lamest critique I have ever seen.

the dude is upset because there is a gay couple as side characters in the one episode and too many colored people.

give me a break

I watched the first episode of the new season, it wasn't bad. I enjoyed it and will watch the rest of the season

Who cares if it takes away from his enjoyment of the show? Diaf loser seems beyond extreme.

it's a terrible review of the show.

If someone is letting their bigotry get in the way of watching a show, then I think DIAF is a fine response to their review.

How's the rest of the season? Started pretty good in season 1 but seemed to taper a bit. The Mikey Cyrus one sucked badly, so I not confident it's going to recover.

Haven't watched anything beyond the super woke wet dream first episode yet.

Calm down dude. You can go have a black guy fuck you in the ass, I don't care. I get you're into it, means nothing to me what you do in your own time.

And nothing got in the way of me watching the show. I didn't turn off the episode or anything. I watched and then noted the observation that was impossible to miss how every single couple in that show was either interracial or interracial and gay. The woke entertainment push of this has gone so far off the deep end that it isn't even close to offering an accurate representation of society anymore.

Just started episode 2 of the new season, and what a surprise, our main characters are a biracial couple.

Not even sure how that second episode even fits into Black Mirror.

Not bad, but I always felt that Black Mirror as this sort of Twlight Zone show focused on future technology. There was nothing really there that fits that in this episode

This season is very minimal technology.

Wait for episode 4. An absolute abomination to TV

Episode 3 was the best Black Mirror episode since San Junipero in season 3.

Finally getting around to watching the newest season.

Show has gone beyond woke with its casting to the point its distracting. Only in the first episode so far but every couple is either interracial and gay or just interracial.
I can't imagine "woke" is really the problem with the show. The problem has always been that every episode is just a poorly executed comedy sketch. At least, every single episode I've seen which admittedly is only a handful.

"Hey guys, what if a politician got blackmailed into fucking a pig?"

"Hey guys what if some chick killed somebody and then got caught because a hamster saw her do it?"

"Hey, what if two bros were playing a video game online and then they actually just started fucking each other in the video game and had to pretend like it didn't happen because that's gay?"

There was an episode that literally was just an unfunny, poorly written version of an episode of Community (The one with the phone app social rating system).

I just don't understand how anybody can take the show seriously. At least the Twilight Zone has some charm to it and a few really iconic episodes. Black Mirror is just bad.

I stopped after you called them "comedy sketches"

I don't think any of these episodes are "comedy"

it is...I guess there is some of that in there...but I wouldn't consider these comedy sketches
I wouldn't consider the episodes comedy sketches either. The ideas just feel like they would be better suited as comedy sketches.

The concepts are hard to take seriously as drama/sci-fi/thriller because at their core the ideas aren't well suited for drama/sci-fi/thriller stories. They all sound like something you'd hear in a sketch comedy show writer's room. Like I said, there is episode of Black Mirror that has the exact same concept as an of Community.

In some cases I feel like they may as well be trying to write a serious sci-fi story about a world where everybody has to eat poop.

Sounds like no one likes this show. How did it last 6 seasons?!?!?!

Just watched season 6 episode 3 with Pinkman.

I thought I saw the way this one was going to play out 50 minutes ago. Fooled me.

Still good, though.

Yeah that episode shockingly dark throughout. Said it in my last post but that's the best episode since season 3.

Not better than USS Callister or Hang the DJ.

It was solid for what Black Mirror is now. But super predictable
