Some might feel inclined to guess that it's about something ideological, but I think that network is just a sinking ship and it's shedding salary in a <probably doomed> attempt to stave off bankruptcy. Can't say I'm too sad about it- the quality of football and hockey coverage alone should've seen the network shut down, let alone the Jalen Rose / Max Kellerman / Jemele Hill types.

I doubt it. The only time I ever consider ESPN at all is when I can't find where the damn NFL or NHL game is, and I have to look for the channel in the guide.

Does this mean they all fucked on their wedding nights, and the woman was menstruating?

but McAffee has a 20million a year contract

For me it's:

Kolber
Van Gundy
Pollock (for UGA reasons)

That's it.
Pollock offered very little in analysis and his biggest part was you had one job and he wasnt very entertaining about it.

They aren't even close to bankruptcy. Where did you come up with that idea? They have $4 billion in revenues and as part of Disney, they are reported to be profitable. They are obviously in (1) a business that is undergoing a massive change in the way it interfaces with its customer, and (2) have to deal with Disney and all that entails.

ESPN is its own division now, so we should see how they are performing financially in the near future.

Then why fire this many people?
