TOP 25... Overrated & Underrated

Brady was a wildly average college QB. This hilarious claim that the NFL is bad at evaluating talent is comedy.
Michigan QB's have never been flashy, and Brady wasn't flashy as an NFL QB either.

Brady won a lot of games for Michigan, especially after we won the national title and lost a shit ton of talent. And we developed him into a functionally 2nd year NFL starter.

He literally only became a starter because Drew Beldsoe got his Achilles wrecked. Let's pretend like he earned that spot though,. If Beldsoe never went down Brady probably goes down a completely different path

Brady was a product of the right place at the right time. Michigan has little or nothing to do with his NFL success.

I guess maybe if you count that they mismanaged him enough to allow him to drop to the Patriots in round 6. Then they did something for him.

Nope. Drew got benched after the split early in the 1999 season lost two games against MSU and Illinois and then Brady was named the full starter for the rest of the year. Yawn.

Well no wonder Bledsoe got benched, wtf was he doing playing games against MSU and Illinois when he was on the Patriots' payroll?

Read to fast, my apologies. So you're saying Bill was wrong about brady too?

No, not at all. They knew they couldn't throw him in right away. They had to get him reacclimated to the game of football since michigan screwed up his development so much over the previous 4 years.

Were you even alive when Brady was at michigan? Also are you going to tell me if you had the choice between Henne back in the day, Justin Fields, or CJ Stroud to start a team with, you'd choose Henne? They've had 3 HCs since the coaching staff that put those two into the NFL, come on man.

Fields hasn't been that good so far in his career. If he has another season, like his first two, the Bears are going to move off of him, especially with Williams and Maye, who are better prospects. I'd take Stroud because of the better potential, but he's not a sure thing.

They gave him weapons so that is all he can ask for. He has definitely shown improvement and I expect that to continue with what he has on offense. Their defense is still going to be suspect though

The Bears on one of the worst teams a QB can go to. Hated that Fields got drafted by them

Ok, Fields is 2 years into his career with two different HCs, OCs, QB coaches, and GMs, and no actual offensive weapons. If you can honestly tell me Williams or Maye could've played better in Chicago last year than Fields did, I guess that's your opinion. However, let's pump the brakes a bit.
