OREGON to the B1G

So far only Yahoo is confirming this. We do know that the proposed GOR was not signed, so it seems credible that YewDub and the Ducks are on their way out.

Two founding members of the conference.

so like is there going to be divisions again?
no divisions but the 4 west coast will still always play to cut some costs?
pods?
would that put someone like Nebraska and Minnesota in the division or pod?

My guess would be no because they are going to want USC/UW/UCLA/Oregon to play Michigan, OSU, PSU as many times as possible. 2, 9 team divisions would restrict that. Unless they go to 11 conference games or something like that.

Not even day 1, already worried about cutting costs.

Enjoy that, B1G

I had to laugh when I just heard, Oregon and Washington are coming and they will be getting 50% of what the others get. Yikes. How desperate were they to get out of the PAC to accept that deal.

Now if the other crazy rumor was true and somehow the B1G takes FSU and Clemson but at full shares it'd be fun to watch ODs head explode. we may even get a new word or phrase

"will not immediately receive full shares of new media rights deal, but will make more than they would remaining in the Pac 12."

They obviously need to land somewhere, so a little desperate, but taking a better deal in itself doesn't reek of desperation.

If Washington and Oregon to Big is true then Clemson and Florida State to SEC???

Divisions are done. The B1G will assign everyone like 3 perms and rotate the rest with the best two teams in the conference championship. It won't really be pods but it will work very similarly.

I think there are. The ACC is about to explode. The SEC is for sure taking FSU and CLemson the instant they have a chance to.
I don’t think they do. For SEC is about the money and the increase in revenue these schools bring. UGA UF and SC have no incentive to open Up those areas to two other SEC recruiting schools. it wouldn’t benefit them financially or on the recruiting pitch.
