Big 12 thread

Figured they’d shoot for Cal next but.. still a very good move imo. Got some rivalry games to sell and more good hoops.

The B12 doesn’t need anymore adds, especially out west right now. I sincerely hope they don’t add anyone until/if the ACC breaks apart. There is no one out there right now that legitimately adds to the pie, and if we are taking people to take people then many should prefer it be ACC teams.

I agree , I’d like to see some Pitt/VT/Miami/SU/GT/ NCState in there. The east/southeast time zone/culture would be better for the conference imo but I just know they have liked those flagships in the past and after losing one in a big state (Texas), I figured they’d jump on Cal when they had the chance to have one in another big state.

Cal fitting (from an academic and cultural standing) into the B12 seems impossible. Not only that but that makes it an odd number. And the small chance Cal would come there is an even smaller chance Stanford joins them to make it 18. Honestly if they are hell bent on adding 2 more just add Wazzu and the beavs.

But again I think the preference should be stay at 16 and wait.

fuck that.. i want to see UCF/WV at Cal on a friday night, then the following saturday see Utah at WV/UCF... coast vs coast

Go the ACC and SEC route with no numbers attached. Those two were accurately named until Mizzou and SyracusePitt came in… unless someone considers Missouri in the Southeast or Syracuseor Pittsburgh on the Atlantic. Coast. Big 10 tried to do it with the B1G but it didn’t work.

The B1G can be the CTCC- Coast to Coast Conference and the Big 12 can be the ACTCC- Almost Coast to Coast Conference. PAC 12 vanishes.

The problem is that the people in charge of making that happen fart dust and won't want their precious name to be changed.

Chances to see games and in a conference where most road games won't be on at midnight.

Looks like BIB, with more adds possible I think they keep B1G and call it the Big conference.
