Yeah. Indianapolis in (checks notes) December…a perfect family vacation. The big ten should make it a destination stop and the rose bowl works perfect. Most importantly, it’s a college stadium and not the dreary NFL stadium they currently play in.

Do we need a Wisconsin Cold thread to rival the Texas Heat thread? I will say it gets cold here but Minneapolis, Minnesota cold days in December through February are freakishly brutal.

I get it, the Midwest sucks. But let’s not pretend Pac teams don’t go to Utah, Pullman, Colorado in November. Or that you’re in for some kind of rude awakening because you have to deal with some dry cold a couple times throughout the season when you’re used to sideways rain in the mid 30s.
Those west coasters are about to get some misery especially when they go back with a L

Meh. I've always said the "It gets cold in Big 10 country" mantra is way overblown. Yeah it can get brutally cold mid December - March, but the regular season is over by Dec 1st.
You might get some unpleasant weather the last week of November. Typically a cold rain or a rain/snow mix, but that's it. I'd rather play in that than in 90° anyway. Even 80° for that matter.
So one game out of twelve in potential late November inclement weather? pshhh
I don't know how they plan to work the PAC rivalry scheduling, but when USC has played @Notre Dame it's always been mid to late October which is typically perfect football weather. That's sweatshirt and hoodie weather for fans at worst.
The last week of November has always been @USC (Los Angeles).
When USC is @ ND in October they can play UCLA the last week of November.
Whether Oregon/Oregon St or Washington/Washington State will continue to play each other the last week of November has yet to be determined. Maybe they can play those in the OOC season and have Oregon/Washington last week of November.
So USC, Oregon, and Washington are all covered from playing in the Plains/Midwest last week of November. The only question is a UCLA opponent if USC continues to play ND (in Los Angeles) that last week of November.

For the most part, yeah. But, the firearm whitetail season in Illinois starts the weekend before Thanksgiving. Daytime temps in the mid 20s are as likely as the mid 50s.
And Utah is back to back champs? Lol
Long road trip to the Midwest tho is different and different cold.
Either way you’re gonna see some Pac teams come to the Midwest and lose.

So, gametime starts to be a factor. 11 am starts will not average anywhere near 50. 2 PM starts will be nowhere near 50 avg by start of 4th qtr. Look up daily mean temps to get a better idea of conditions. Also, check out average wind speeds. Halloween, shit changes in central Illinois. Windy, cool days are quite common. Yes, there are days with great football weather for Midwesterners, but brutal for the Lotuslanders.

Absolutely.
Utah been owning the Pac in some cold weather with legit defense. Those flashy Pac offenses in cold weather get hit and it stings.

I've gone to plenty Nebraska/Oklahoma (day of or day after Thanksgiving) games since I was a child.
I only remember a couple that were cold and rainy. Maybe a few snowflakes. It can snow at 38° though.
November can get cold in Iowa Wiscy and Illinois for sure. Not brittle usually like December or January but even so it’s not going to be an easy W for any Pac team at Wiscy Iowa or even Illinois right now. The travel alone is going to be all kinds of suck.
Now Nebraska could be an easy W for the Pac in Lincoln. NW who knows. Purdue and Minnesota not sure either
