During the Covid panic shit, I am using a self-checkout and someone watching the self-checkout is telling people how many meat items they can buy or eggs or some such.
So, Walmart didn't have hired cashiers available but they could pay people to "food monitor" our purchases.

Stanley water bottles/drinkwear has been around for a long time, but lost a shitton of market share to Yeti and Hydroflask. Hydroflask is junk - you might as well just buy the gas station brands. Stanley isn't bad, but it doesn't hold up like Yeti. Anyway, some dildo influencer started pumping Stanley and that's what all the kids want now.
It's a brave, new world.

This happened to me at Aldi last week. I had over 50 things in my cart. There self checkouts don't even have belts just about a 2x2 section to set stuff down.
I turned to an employee and apologized but said either a lane is opening or I'm leaving this whole cart here. She opened a lane

I avoid self-checkout avidly, but Sam's I do myself because they have Scan-and-Go in there app, so I just scan shit as I put it in the cart. I'll do that.
I've heard Costco is better than Sam's in general, but the local Sam's location is much more convenient.

Local Lowe's rarely has anything other than self-checkout available recently, unless you go to the far end of the store that is the "pro side," so that's where I park and check out. I'm a fuckin' pro, bitches.

I honestly can't say enough about that flask. Best flask I've ever had and everyone I know that has one says the same thing. If you use a flask with any regularity, you need this bad boy.
True. My youngest lugs around a giant Stanley mug everywhere. It’s huge and unwieldy. Barely fits in a cup holder and it’s shape makes it awkward to use, but she had to have it.
