Thursday morning

Southwest is as budget as I get. I typically fly them or United.
I don't like SW boarding process, but they're "ok"

We have a local budget airline, Suncountry, that I have used few times. It's gone downhill, went way downhill but has rebounded a bit. You can at least not get checked into your flight in a timely manner

Don't be a cheap fuck and buy the Early Bird Check-In, or check in yourself exactly 24 hours before the flight and the boarding is a breeze.

defeats purpose to pay more and fly budget airline

It's $15 for early bird, and you get two bags free with your flight.

Also, I wouldn't really consider Southwest a budget airline. Other than no first class, their service is as good or better than any other.

We were able to game the system a bit. Because we had Tank, us and him were able to board after the first group. We just brought Ham with us, and no one questioned whether she was 7 or under. We were able to get seats all together at the back of all the planes on this trip. Only one plane was full, the other two flights were not full so we could take up the two back rows.

usually more direct options as well if you don't live in a hub city.

I haven't flown them in years, Minneapolis doesn't appear to be one of their main hubs, so I feel like whenever I look at them, I end up having to take connections with few exceptions

AH fuck, I just learn the rules and they're changing them

The only thing that annoyed me was they didn't have shit in the way of TVs on the plane, and their app wasn't available for the old iPad we have or the Chromebook. Wound up buying the kids DVD players for entertainment for the flights, which worked well enough.

BNA -> MKE... I can take southwest and spend less than 2 hours traveling

or I can take an airline that connects in Atlanta, Detroit, Charlotte or Chicago and spend 4+ hours traveling.
