hey everyone

just accepted a manager position

two big promotions in a month

question 1: do you have hiring authority?
question 2: what's your policy on internet forum posting instead of working?

yes and yes

AH fuck, I just learn the rules and they're changing them

can't allow more than 45 people to purchase the service... and even less depending on the number of A-List Preferred on the flight.

The ones on American don't seem too bad, just a half hour in Charlotte. I remember that airport being pretty small and easy to get around.

Trying to decide if I want to give in to the weasels at Frontier, or if flying one of the more standard carriers is better. We had a fine experience with Southwest on our trip earlier this month, but they're coming in at like $600-$700 more expensive than some of the other flights, so it's hard to justify that.
So, you'll have 15 minutes to get to the gate assuming both flights leave on time?

I haven't flown them in years, Minneapolis doesn't appear to be one of their main hubs, so I feel like whenever I look at them, I end up having to take connections with few exceptions
I used to refuse to fly Southwest, back when they handed you that plastic boarding pass when you physically checked in at the airport. Fuck that.

The process is much better these days and pretty simple once you understand how it works.

just flew SW to RI...the flight was fine but they had radio issues and delayed us taking off by 3 hrs and that sucked

I don't mind the whole first come, first served check in thing.

This lady on my last flight was super-pissed that her A1 boarding pass didn't mean she was the first one on the plane. The guy started pre-boarding and she's giving the people shit that are getting on the plane in fucking wheelchairs. We chose a row FAR away from her.

Fucking amateurs.

It's also good to have an idea of where drink service starts so you're not waiting forever to your thimble of coke... rows 1,9,16 and 23(on larger planes) are best row choices for early drink service.

flight on the way home from LAX a couple months ago had no wifi... that sucked, but we mostly slept anyway.

Drink service is one gripe I have. Their only bourbon is Wild Turkey.

Ugly old Karen. I wish I had taken a picture.

After the pre-board all the parents with children were lining up in that lane and she was freaking out that they were all going to board before her too.

I was A31 so I had a front row seat to her lunacy.

Looked at the flights to see if maybe it was the case that the same plane flew on to New Orleans after getting people to Charlotte. Not the case here, so I'm definitely not going to book that itinerary. Some of the flight options showed "on-time* performance below 50%. Probably not I'm my best interests to book that, seeing as how we'll be trying to get a car seat from one plane to the next one.

outside of carry on luggage space, I'm never in a huge rush to get on the plane
