2. He was saying they monitored kiddie porn and human trafficking sites and those are crimes. I have no idea how they do it so I can’t speak to that but if you assholes can see IP addresses then I don’t see why they couldn’t.

No, it just kind of happened by accident. I had a couple of friends (in recovery for alcohol) that wanted to start running but said they didn't think they would stick with it working out alone. So we put the word out and more people joined us.

1. Us assholes can see IPs of people who visit this site because we own it. The Hoover Police Dept. does not own the dark web.
2. You honestly believe that the Hoover Police Dept. can "monitor" who in their jurisdiction is going on those sorts of sites? BTW, it is not a crime to go on those sites and even if it were, it'd be a federal matter, not enforceable by some hee-haw Ala-fuickin-bama DA.
3. You don't understand Tor or onion routing, if you did you wouldn't have made that shit up.

I don’t know how they do it. I would think the FBI has fake websites up and they know how to hack in to others. All that is above my knowledge base and I just communicated what I was told.

There's a significant difference in the resources the FBI has access to vs. Officer Joe in your local precinct.

The best thing local police departments can currently do is to be aware of the signs of dark web activity at a scene.
