Tell us what is going on ... that was ugly. Transfer portal? NIL? Coordinators? Just bad luck? Dabo gone?

Like Miami, Clemson is just another ACC program that has been broken by Ohio State.
 
Eh. It was pretty bad last night, but it was continual shooting themselves in the foot. In the third quarter they moved the ball up and down the field easily. Just once inside the 10 yard line, they looked like a bunch of virgins trying to find the hole for the first time. And the defense, outside the opening second half drive, was pretty solid all night. As blind homerism as it may seem, if they just don't keep shooting themselves in the foot, that could have been a comfortable win last night.

Its definitely not how you want to start the season, especially after the troubles last year. But i do think there was positives to take away from last night. Now if they don't clean it up and look like this again the next few weeks, then I'll be concerned.

There's still some issues from last year that will linger this season. They still don't have a good oline and the wr play is pretty bad.

What happened was letting Duke hang around, build confidence, and momentum.

Duke had their share of mistakes too, but they overcame them.
 
Duke didn't look that great, and Clemson moved the ball at will but then farted and fell down every time in the red zone. I think the one on the hot seat is the Clemson OC who has been trading on his family name and looked pretty exposed last night.

Yeah, to me OL and WR have been a huge problem for you. Your WR corps talent has dropped dramatically since 2018-ish.

I just watched the last few minutes of the game, so I didn't see the rest of the game. Fumbling twice inside the 5 is not the formula for success, obviously.

Dabo needs to watch his six ... hardware store sales for pitchforks at an all-time high.

I don't think Dabo is the problem. Dude is going to eclipse Frank Howard's all time win record this season, and he's going to do it in half the seasons. Might have been a perfect storm last night of first game jitters, new OC, Duke confidence, and some unfortunate mistakes that they couldn't overcome on the road.

I think you're both wrong: this slide started when they lost to Spencer Rattler last season and they haven't recovered yet. Lots of shame and embarrassment they have to work through.

I mean, the last time they were elite and made the CFP was when they got torn apart by OSU. They just haven't been the same since then. The last two seasons and then last night show that.
 
You're all wrong. ND broke them in 2020 after they gave them their first regular season loss in 36 games. Never recovered from that.
